lol.

Joe's attempts to pretend he understands relativity and quantum fizzicks are as much fun as his typos:

or indeed ....DIFFERENT.

Since DaveTard left there isn't anyone there who does hard science fiction anymore.

Joe seems to jump the shark every time he puts on his lab coat.

Thanks to Olegt for reminding me about the crackpot index (http://math.ucr.edu/home/baez/crackpot.html).

I decided to take a shot at Joe on this one.  I am NOT going to find a reference to every single piece that I say.  If you don't like my work, then feel free to ignore it.

+5 for even being considered to be on this list
+5 (+1 for every statement widely agreed to be false; examples "hail is not water", "mol is molecule", "mya is millenia ago", etc)
+6 (+3 for every statement that is logically inconsistent)
+50 (+5 points for every statement that is adhered to despite correction)
+20 (+5 points for every thought experiment that contradicts an actual experiment)
+30 (+10 points for each new term that is never defined)
+10 for saying a current theory is only a theory
+10 for saying that the current theory doesn't have a mechanism
+10 for claiming one's own work is on the cutting edge (ticks? really?)
+20 for saying how great your theory is without actually explaining it
+40 (+20 for every claim in which science fiction is used as a fact)
+70 (40 points for claiming that when your theory is finally appreciated, present-day science will be seen for the sham it truly is. (30 more points for fantasizing about show trials in which scientists who mocked your theories will be forced to recant.))
+50 for claiming you have a revolutionary theory but giving no concrete testable predictions.for claiming you have a revolutionary theory but giving no concrete testable predictions.

I've decided to add a few of my own:
+100 (+5 for every attempt to divert conversation from one's own notions by saying "you support your theory"
+500 (+5 for every attempt to divert conversation from one's own notions by cursing one's opponent)

So, Joe's (estimated) crackpot index is 926.

I'm sure I'm missing a few things, so it's safe to say that Joe approaches 1,000 on the crackpot index.  Hmmm... I wonder how that compares to KF, Dembski, Wells, etc.  But I don't wonder enough to go check.

I was thinking of doing the same with batshit77, but that would mean goint through his gigantic steaming pile of tard, and I can't spare the neurons.

But we know batshit gave Joe a schooling on relativistic mass this weekend.  So batshit's been right on more things than has Joe (by a score of 1-0).  I think we can infer that CI(batshit77) < CI(Joe).

Even barmier than batshit77.  Even in the empty, anally-obsessed, god-addled abyss which I'm going to refer to as Joe's mind until I come up with a better word, that's got to sting a bit.

why start on chemtrails when we're still having so much fun with H2O?

I've lost track, this is certainly beyond doubling down but is it tripling- or quadrupling-down at this point?

The tripling-down point of water is that at which it stops being water and becomes one of two other things instead. The quadrupling-down point involves single molecules, which cannot have a phase. Even those chumps that edit Wikipedia have it wrong: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki.......f_water Forms of water! Snicker! A molecule of water! Mmmmmmffff!

Antarctica- Record Sea Ice Extent in 2012!
- Yup, that is correct- 2012 saw a record in Antarctica's sea ice extent. Oh but that was predicted by global warming.... Not

Ya See... the beauty of working in the quote mine is you don't need to read the article, just the headline. I mean it must support your preconceptions and ideology, right?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs....og.html

Quote
...If we look at current Arctic and Antarctic sea ice extents compared to their 1979-2000 averages, Arctic sea ice is almost 50 percent below average whereas Antarctic sea ice is just between 5 and 10 percent above average.

Its not that we should dismiss the Antarctic difference from average. At some two standard deviations from (above) the mean, that signifies theres just about a 5 percent chance of this happening (assuming a normal distribution). But the Arctic difference from average is in an entirely different universe statistically speaking, way, way beyond two standards deviations from (below) the mean.

Moreover, the long term rate of decline in Arctic ice obliterates the converse rate of increase in the Antarctic. In August, for example, Arctic sea ice is declining at a rate of 10 percent per decade since 1979 compared to an increase of 0.6 percent per decade in the Antarctic.

Joe doesn't get it that scientists who write for public consumption just like most writers want to capture a readers attention, so they will make a headline interesting to get above the noise level. If the title just said "Artic ice declined 30% in the last 30 years while Antartic ice increased 1.8% over the same period" who would read it?

Not Joe.

That's why 'The Bourne Identity' was not called 'The Spy Who Forgot His Own Name (Which BTW Was Bourne)'.

Maybe if the title said something like....'Homo-erotocism Blamed on Global Warming' Joe would read the whole article.

I let him go for a few posts and then shut him down.  It's just not worth it.  That's my new home and I don't need his shit stinking up the place.  If he ever figures out what a mol is, maybe he can come back.

Maybe you should do a post on ghosts and haunted places, crop circles, zombies, Bigfoot, Nessie, UFOs, aliens living among humans or replacing humans (invasion of the body snatchers!), alien abductions and 'examinations', ancient aliens (and don't forget Stonehenge!), and/or other such things, and let joey comment on it. It would be hilarious. :p

Yeah, stonehenge has already come up, but I've moderated Joe.  He's not even an interesting troll.  Just 'Nuh huh!"

If he doesn't come back, then I'll lose about 700 hits a day, but I can live with that.  Maybe he'll post his weiner diatribes on his blog.

Not that it matters, I get about one hit a month from the stuff he's posted about me.  I'll have to check and see if he's posted about me yet.  A chocolate milkshake says he has.

eta:  Yay, I get a milkshake.  He's whined about me THREE times today.  What is it that he must whine about me so.

A 30 second review of his posts and I see that it's the exact same thing as every other whiney-ass diatribe he pulls.  "I already did that."  "ID isn't what you say" and "Nuh huh!"

It's typical of joey to have a hissy fit about being blocked and/or banned even though he regularly blocks and/or bans me and others from his worthless blog. Not long ago I submitted several comments on his blog and none were posted, and that's almost always the case. I submitted some comments on his blog just a little while ago too and wonder if they will be posted.

And yeah, joey just regurgitates the same old IDiotic nonsense all the time and for some strange reason he thinks that he will convince every evolutionary scientist on Earth to believe in and worship tard. 'Delusional' doesn't even begin to describe joey.

And speaking of delusional joey, on Smilodon's Retreat he said:

"Intelligent Design is perfectly OK with mere complexity arising without a designer."

And he said:

"Complexity is defined."

Hey joey, which version of complexity is defined, mere complexity or some other version of complexity? Who defined them and what are the definitions? How many versions of complexity are there? Is there a distinct line between mere complexity and the other versions? What ID-specific tests do you do to differentiate the versions of complexity in objects or processes in nature?

Smilodon said this:

"Joe, first you have to be able to determine the difference between a designed thing and a not-designed thing."

And joey responded:

"Kevin, we can."

First of all joey, who's "we"? Second, list ten things in nature that were/are designed by the alleged designer and ten things that are not. Then, demonstrate how you determined that they are designed or not designed.

And hey joey, can you and the rest of the "we" clan determine whether the alleged designer was designed or not? If so, what is your determination and exactly how did you arrive at it?

Robb,

Try to compress the works of Shakespear- CSI. Try to compress any encyclopedia- CSI. Even Stephen C. Meyer says CSI is not amendable to compression.

A protein sequence is not compressable- CSI.

So please reference Dembski and I will find Meyers quote.

Better than 2:1.  That's pretty awesome.

And, that, Joey is the definition of 'information' as used in science. But not your definition because in your definition:

ACGTGCTAGCTAGCATCG
and
ACGTGCTAGCTAGCATAG

are not the same.

As predicted, Joe has appeared at Skeptic Ink and blathered on about me being a coward and ID being perfectly OK with evolution and ID is no different than SETI and forensics.

"I already did that." "ID isn't what you say" and "Nuh huh!"

does he really hit your blog 700 times a day?

I can't actually tell.  700 seems a little excess, even for him.

But my new blog on Skeptic Ink has gotten 25 comments from him in less than 2 days.  All but 3 are replies to other comments. This is across 3 separate blog posts.  So he must be hitting it pretty hard.

Loftus summarily assigned Joe (and his i'mskeptical sock) as spam.  I'm perfectly OK with that.  Maybe if Joe was an interesting troll like AFDave, it would be different.

I see that the comments I submitted on joey's blog last night haven't been posted even though joey has been active on his blog since I submitted them.

Hey joey, how many comments are you blocking/banning from your blog? You say that people who do that are cowards, so according to your own words that makes you a coward, right?

Yeah, but you cheated by smuggling in outside information from the computer!
