Yes, yes, South Park beat you to it, turd or douche, we know we know.
Justify your choice then. Who, exactly are you referring to anyway? Who will you be voting for and why?
Dare you. |
You lost me on the South Park comment. My kids are fans, but I think it's crap so I have no idea what you're talking about. |
Hahahaha, she said that South Park is crap!
Who could forget that classic episode?
Quote (midwifetoad @ Oct. 05 2012,09:47) | The next for years are likely to be as bad as the last four (except for the inevitable wars between China and Japan, North and South Korea, Britain and Argentina, Israel and everyone else) regardless of who wins. So It's a matter of who you want to see suffer. Or is that whom?
Worldwide depressions seem to breed wars. Reality bites. |
I'll stick my neck out and say that reality is going to bite whoever wins - we're going to have to pay the piper, although I cannot imagine what good tax cuts are in the face of the national debt, itself necessary because of Shrub.
I sold my house in 2007 (dodged a bullet there!, and Rev. Barky just sold his - for full asking price, plus seller-paid closing costs. I do not want to buy another house, but I do advocate buying land. I have not worked full time since being cut in 2008, but yes, I am better off, with a Master's, two very satisfying jobs plus my own business, and being published.
A liberal in the true sense of the word, I read National Review and Mother Jones, and I've read both Aftershock (2nd edition, borrowed from the library! and The Great Reckoning. These books are a little bit correct, but frankly, conservatives tend to overlook the environment, peak oil, and overpopulation, and this video presents what I think is as accurate as one can be in predicting what we could face. Yes, it's cheezy (scary music; "Hi Chris, what made you start thinking about this?" "Well, Kent, like many Americans, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah). Take it with a grain of salt.
I believe in both a safety net and in personally relying on others as little as possible. In terms of my carbon footprint, repairing and repurposing items, and saving money, I am quite the little conservative.
Just remember - it's not and it will never be the end of the world.
