Nah, don't you see, the existence of peer-reviewed scientific literature is actually one of the great weaknesses of evolutionary theory!

IDer's can't understand the articles and are bored by them. Therefore ID wins by default.

Re: DaveTard's photo- his idea of "boondocks" looks like medium density suburbia, I see no gate or fences.  If the neighbors heard gunshots they certainly would call the cops to come take DT away again.

Of course, if DT is a true paranoid, the photo was taken at an unrelated location, the dogs and truck aren't his, and that isn't Dave.

Vicious dogs, Dodge Phallus and man-bra notwithstanding, it's the butterfly landing on the aerial that captures the essence of DT's response.

It's funny that he was going on about his guard dogs then posts a picture of two bored and not particularly vicious looking dogs.

Also, judging by the white lines on his feet, Dave is usually a sandal wearer. Not exactly the image of a tough Marine.

Vicious dogs? Damned unlikely. I always get a kick out of the way Dave always goes on about his German Shepherd, which looks like a Shepherd-Lab. I guess labradors aren't manly enough. Blipey could almost certainly walk right up to those dogs with a burger in each hand, tell them to sit, and hand-feed them while Dave stands steaming 20 feet off.

On April 15 last, Denyse O'Leary summoned the spirit of George Murphy by misattribution.  He responded thusly,
Quote
I have little desire to participate in these discussions but since it was called to my attention that Ms. O’Leary both misrepresented and misunderstood my comments on the ASA list, I should set the record straight.

A scant few days later, he makes his farewells, "This blog as a whole reminds me of a bunch of kids playing D & D".

Supersport coming here?!?!?!  I will lurk no more.

SS has posted, over on CARM, that he thinks a coffee enema will cure cancer.  Since he just has a neuroblastoma of the spinal cord, instead of a brain, maybe we could cure the sleazy bastard with a good dose.

Wonder if Orac would like to be the PI for the clinical trials?

WRT DT's pickemup, that vintage Dodge is not anywhere near 6'5" to the roofline.  Look at those wheels, again; they're stock 15" rims.  The roof height is about 6 foot even.

Please also note; Due to the overabundance of flying insects, DT's lower jaw is firmly closed. As are his fists, which due to the recent proximity the "Square eye for a homophobe" team, require him to stop dragging them on the ground for short periods.

I grew up in the rural South and I can say, from plenty of experience, that the people who use the term "boondocks" are often the same morons who chainsaw their shade trees, burn off the ground cover hoping to replace it with non-native "lawn" grass - and then bitch about how it's so hot and dusty.

Those dogs, far from vicious, look like puppies no more than six or seven months old.  I hope they're getting fed better than cheesy poof crumbs and toe jam.

I drive a Dodge 2500 also and my stands 6 foot even at the roof line.  However, mine is not 4x4, while Dave's is.  Not sure how much that adds.

Well, let's see. Dave appears to be at least 2 inches shorter than his big penis truck, but he said he's 6'2". If Dave's truck is 6 inches tall, then he's about 5'10" and lied about his height by 4 inches. If the 4x4 factor raises the truck to 6'2", then Dave is no more than 6 feet even and lied about his height by 2 inches.

Darn. We probably can't believe him about those women begging him to sire their children, either.  :(

Why are so many people so jocular about Dave (Springer) Scot?
There is nothing too weird about the way he looks. A USA citizen a tad overweight (shock horror).
An ID proponent who has lied (shock horror).
C'mon. Is anyone really surprised? And what would you have to say if the situation was reversed and some ID suporters' main criticism of a pro-evolutionist was about looks/figure?
Yes I know it isn't exactly the same (the fool has said too much shiz for that to aply), just saying.

It's the irony of Dave making fat jokes about Ed Brayton, in conjunction with his bragging about his own physical attributes.

I "kinda" understood that (not the exact target admitedly). It is just that our side now looks no better. It is sillly to ridicule an argument on how your oponent looks unless references are given about their past comments doing the ecact same thing.
Maybe you dissagree.

EDIT: Dave Tard is a tit! There is no need to stoop to that level to point it out.

Who's clutching at straws?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that "macroevolution" was usually associated with speciation. If there were two types of grass, one type that used C3 photosynthesis and another that used C4, they would easily be placed into two distinct species.

And in the update, how in the #### does that webpage in any way contradict the first paper cited? Basically what the webpage says is that some species of plants within a genus do C3 while others do C4 along with a smattering of hybrids that do both. Other genera have species that can do both too. But again, in what way does this contradict the paper (that says basically the same thing)?

And I don't have access to Theory in Biosciences, but something tells me that the authors of the paper cited all the proper literature, including research done by the author of the webpage DS linked to. But you know, it's not like they are going to cite a webpage, DS.

Uh yeah, baraminology?

The NCSE newsletter has two very good articles on baraminology and ANOPA (Anlysis of Pattern) methodolgies of YECs, which I may post about in another thread, as soon as I finish reading them. (Hint: Wood's methodology is exposed for the puerile silliness that it is.)
