The scientology video he made?  Scientology made You Tube take it down but the New York Post still has a copy here (maybe)

http://www.nypost.com/video....ate=700

The article is here

http://www.nypost.com/seven....340.htm

He's crazy creepy and weird.  When he goes into a unsettling hyena laugh he's talking about "SP's" which is Scientology speak for "suppressive persons" or enemies of Scientology.  He goes on to say maybe one day "SPs" will only exist in history books.

It's all so very weird.

"I mean... wow. You know, it's... like, man. When I read it, it was like, poof! You know you have to help... and you know you're the only one who can help... because you're so... like wow... and you better know it, and if you don't, go and learn it... we're here to help... And the more you know, the more you can help... KMS...MNSP...HAHAHAHAHA... and maybe one day it will be like that... PTSP...," and blah, blah, yakkity-yak.

The only time I really understand him was when he said, "I wish I could go on vacation." So do I, Tom. So do I. From you, you lunatic!

And I don't even want to think about what "I've canceled that in my area" means! :p  I've never been interested in your "area," Tom.

What did I just watch?

"Thank you."

No, that really creeped me out. The flat-ass self-absorbed narcissism aroused nausea. I'm tasting stomach acid, forchrissake.

"Thank you."

Plus I didn't hear a fucking WORD of content.  Not a word. Some peeper widening, broad displays of The Tooth, some big time self-regard, and ten minutes of nothing. What the fuck?

"Thank you."

Near the end I noticed two soup cans and an E-meter. But where are the stacks of cash? There should be stacks of cash.

"Thank you."

And a sailor's cap.

"Thank you."

And I'd swear I saw a couple body thetans stuck to Tom's buff new haircut.

"Thank you."

(I'm going back to my Urantia Book. Because then I'll know. I'll just know.)

That video had the same amount of content as any comment from JoeG or Ftk.  Has anyone ever seen Tom and Ftk at the same time?  Or Tom and JoeG?

Scientology is one of the scariest things on the planet - right up there with the Taliban - the film is gone!

You can still see it here.

These guys must be rolling in dough and have some real dirt on former members. It scares me, how they can have such pull.

Scientology still doesn't scare me.  I know what they've done, I know about the gangs the run and the people they've tried to frame.  But..  they're still so pathetic and irrelevant to reality.  Tom Cruise has made himself a laughingstock, he's a universal joke now.  They have power, but without being respected they can't use it to really change things.  They can just continue being a pyramid scheme and doing freaky weird things on the fringes.

I'm still concerned about the people they're harming, and am incensed that something more can't be done about them.. but still I can't fear anything that ludicrous.

If this stuff is new to you, be sure to look up things Jim Lippard has written on the topic.

And one of the best utilities a webmaster can be acquainted with is the "Xenu Link Checker".

IIRC, one of the popular prime-time cartoon shows had a segment on what Scientologists believe, which had a nice representation of Xenu, complete with deep villain laugh. Anybody recall that?

I still find Scientology a bit scary, especially thisp YTMND (although it's not funny, at all). Andthis is the sequel.

Hmmmm, my very dear ex-lover grew up in one of their  bases here in the UK; her parents joined and the family went too.

I think it's fair to say that they're a pretty nasty bunch - not necessarily the members but those who wield the power, certainly.  In fact an awful lot of organized religions seem to be more interested in power (and its close relation, money) than in seeking an understanding of the World.

Or perhaps I'm just getting cynical through over-exposure to UD and FtK.

Gosh, I DO like this forum!

As a leading tardologist I have been reading up on Scientology (again).  I had forgotten how profundly stupid these people are.

Read here for their take on the history of man.  Biology, evolution, supressed memories of clams (yes I said clams) that now occupy your own subconcious (via evolution) and other assorted crazy shit from the Scientology Church.

These guys are IDiots on steroids.

It was all over the news here yesterday. The church has apparently blocked it:

Maybe Cruise is still acting ????  I watched MI3 the other night and he was very good. Still, he reminds me a bit of this guy:

A very good sports commentator in his day but everyone on this side of the Atlantic now thinks he's absolutely nuts. I hope Cruise dosen't go the same way as Ike.
