There'll be no response at all.  She's even dropped the old "OMG YOU ARE TEH BIG MEANIES!!!!!!!" flounce-outs.  Now she just wanders off, muttering to herself.

No.  As with most things concerning FTK, there is a very small chance that someone who cares about her (or someone who is being mislead by her) will wander in.  If they do, then there's all the FTK threads for them to wander around in.  Maybe some small percentage of them will be encouraged to ask some questions.

That's all.  FTK herself is hopeless.

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.
Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.
Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen - had to be a girl.
We should've known. Only women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

Holy crap, poor Victoria Jackson. It's one thing for the talking-head puppet masters like Limbaugh and Beck to say this shit, but she obviously believes it (as they of course do not), and someone in the Christian community that she trusts needs to sit her down pronto and tell her, "Get some help."

I know what the issues regarding radical Islam in America are. The Muslim Brotherhood taking over the highest levels of government is not one of them.

Yes!  And those same people can seriously hold the idea in their little pointy heads that Obama put the hit on Osama to cover up his Muslim Brotherhood Brothers!

The irony is, before September 11 happened, these same conservatives were praising Islam for its control over society, particularly over women and "nonbelievers."

I should dig up some of those quotes. They were priceless.

Of course, the Bush Administration hosted the Taliban in our country and was for a pipeline deal with them before said administration was against it.

The Yucatec Maya shared the common Mayan belief that the universe had been created and destroyed several times by a powerful deity (who had also created all the other gods), and would be most likely destroyed again. A late classical innovation was the notion that these events were periodic.

What has always amused, and irritated me is that none of  these so-called "Mayan experts" seem to have learned Mayan. I recall meeting one nit-wit "Mayan Art Expert" in a Merida hotel lobby. He could not even book a room because he could not even speak Spanish, let alone the local Mayan dialect.

Brilliant!

It reminds me of this:
Quote
As this table shows, although creationists are adamant that none of these are transitional and all are either apes or humans, they are not able to agree on which are which. In fact, there are a number of creationists who have changed their opinion on some fossils. They do not even appear to be converging towards a consistent opinion. Gish and Taylor both used to consider Peking Man an ape and 1470 a human, but now Gish says they are both apes, and Taylor says they were both humans. Now we're even seeing the phenomenon of creationists who can't quite decide if an individual skull is human or ape - and yet they're quite sure it can't be an intermediate.

Junk Science???

A freshman at Eagle Rock Junior High won first prize at the Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair on January 26.

In his project he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict control or total elimination of the chemical
"dihydrogen monoxide."

And for plenty of good reasons, since it can:

1. cause excessive sweating and vomiting
2. it is a major component in acid rain
3. it can cause severe burns in its gaseous state
4. accidental inhalation can kill you
5. it contributes to erosion
6. it decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes
7. it has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients.

He asked 150 people if they supported a ban of the chemical.

One hundred forty-three said yes

Six were undecided

Only one knew that the chemical was...

Water!

The title of his prize winning project was, "How Gullible Are We?"

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
He was attempting to show how conditioned we have become to the alarmists practicing junk science and spreading fear of everything in our environment.

The conclusion is obvious.  (and also rather elementary!)

With a bit of luck (well, cash, mostly), Ali and I might be in the St Pete area around the end of april for a week. If we manage the flights, we'll be staying in a condo at North Redington Beach, a short walk away from the Gator Caffé I once recommended.

So, Wes, Monica, other Floridans in the area, if this trip comes to life, what about a lunch, or at least a lager?

(yes, I'm planning way ahead)
