Barry pulled the muzzle off of Mark Frank and Nakashima also. Maybe it was just too boring over there.

When was Nakashima muzzled and how long did it last? I may need to ask MSF for some of my money back.

Nak was modded for about a month after using the term 'agit-prop' to describe some of Denyse's material. As a result his output was lower slower and markedly less funny. But even in moderation, Nak was able to debate CSL with CH, OOL with VJT, and SLOT with Dodgem and Sewell.

Of course, getting modded for agit-prop should be worth something for MSF in the first place!

Well, the present forum is closing down, and there will be a new one that sounds a bit different from what they describe.  The implication that I got was that the whole Richarddawkins.net was closing, but it's just the forum in preparation for the new website.

ID can detect that the products from the first Agency cause [God if you like] that manifest themselves as law-like regularities [and its cooperation with chance] are different from the products of the first Agency cause [God] that manifest themselves as designed objects [DNA patterns] and [human agents] by examining the design patterns IN the DNA and those left BY the humans and recognizing [a] that they are similar and [b] that natural laws have never been known to produce anything like them. Once the nature of those patterns have been established, ID can then distinguish between the law like regularities designed by the first Agent, which have no such patterns, and the designed entities from the first Agent which do.

Do you [the AtBC denizen if you wish] think that it makes a [circular argument] [a] more convincing and [b] less circular IF you are using these [nice] square brackets AND write some words in CAPS?

Great find. But be careful and take only little doses of theat tard:
While he endorses ID in an earlier thread
Quote
Intelligent Design is a far more plausible explanation for the universe and life, if one observes nature, if one practices the scientific method.
he is refering to evolution as the source of the human genome and isn't too happy when the wrong designers do some ID based fine tuning:
Quote
The manipulation of the human genome, which is being aggressively decoded, and the hope entertained by certain scientists of soon being able to take evolution into their own hands, after all, uproot the distinction between the subjective and the objective, the naturally grown and technologically made, man and machine. What is at stake is the future of the human species as we know it, and our ability to conceive of ourselves as the authors of our own life stories.

The ruthless intrusion into the makeup of the human genome of the embryo will blur the intuitive distinction between the grown and the made, ones “self” and the engineers “program”—with repercussions reaching as far as the self-reference of the person to his or her own bodily existence. The vanishing point of self-hood lies somewhere in the extent to which an adolescent’s body, for example, is revealed to him as eugenically manipulated, as something which is also “made.” Here the first-person perspective of “being-oneself” collides with the third-person external perspective of “being-an-observer-to-one’s-own-life.”

“Did I do that?” the adolescent asks himself, “or was that the hand of my genetic engineer, reaching through my genome, who really chose to do that for me?”
One should invite him to discuss this question with the free will experts at UD.

Bill Dembski sums up the creation-evolution wars of the last 20 years:
Quote
When I got into this business 20 years ago, I thought that any Christian (and indeed theist), given good evidence against evolution (again, a materialistic understanding of it) would be happy to trash it and move to some form of intelligent design (whether special creation or intelligent evolution). But that’s not happened. Theistic evolutionists now make common cause with atheistic evolutionists — specifically against ID. ID has become public enemy number one for both atheistic and theistic evolutionists (the recent spate of books by both sides confirms this point).

The practical effect of this is that not just the mainstream academy but the mainstream Christian academy (Wheaton College, Calvin College, Seattle Pacific University, etc. — most of the schools in the CCCU) have now closed their doors to ID and to hiring faculty that explicitly support it. We’re therefore on our own. This may seem like a bad thing (it sure would be nice to be invited to those wine-and-cheese parties at the Templeton Foundation), but I submit it is a good thing. It keeps us honest. We don’t have to play nice with Darwin because our livelihoods are at stake. Moreover, it will make the ultimate victory of ID all that much sweeter.

I quite sincerely pity him.  20 years down the drain.

And what is any Christian (and indeed theist) supposed to do if they have not been "given good evidence against evolution", Dr Dr D?
