Yep, for any definition of species, someone can come up with an exception.
Try this.
Think of all domestic dogs. Think of the teacup Chihuahua and the Great Dane.
Now, remove ALL the other dog breeds, leaving ONLY the Chihuahua and Great Dane.
Now, tell me that those two can interbreed without human intervention.
Now, put all the dog breeds back in and draw a line somewhere that would differentiate the two species represented by Great Danes and teacup Chihuahuas.*
*Holy crap, I spelled it correctly three times in a row. I'm awesome.
