There was a commercial some years back that was comprised entirely of a group of people having a relaxing evening exchanging a series of telegraphic allusions, like, "MaryAnn, or Ginger?" Most referred to pop culture of the 60s and 70s.
I knew all of them. I guess I was squarely in their target demographic.
Before I was ten years old, I had a fondness for TV shows like "The Saint", "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.", "The Avengers", and "The Prisoner". For at least a couple of those, I saw episodes in their original run. I was really bummed when "Coronet Blue" got cancelled. |
