Hello, all! I came across this site yesterday, and now that my antics at UD have come to your attention, I figured, why not chime in here, too? I hope that's all right.
The question was asked as to why I'm going on and on about alternative logics. Well, apart from intentionally provoking Arrington and StephenB, which is both remarkably fun and very easy to do, I wanted to focus on the philosophical issue as to whether the norms of rational thought are best thought as rules at all, and focusing on alternative logics, as alternative systems of inferential rules, is a way of doing that.
