Not the part about her being a first-rate intellect, of course, but she is easily in the same league as C.S. Lewis and Francis Schaeffer when it comes to ridiculous religious apologetics.
I used to read her in the "Bible-Science Newsletter", a Minnesota publication printed on actual newsprint and the size of a newspaper tabloid. I have never read such entertainly whacky stuff in my life, and I read World News Daily.
Just to give you the flavor of the publication, they had a big fight and a bunch of them broke away to form a new organization to champion Biblical Astronomy.
Which, as you might guess, is the Astronomy where the Earth is at the center of the universe and everything else orbits around us.
I don't remember which side of that arguement Nancy was on, but I wouldn't put Biblical Astronomy past her. She is definitely YEC. Maybe flat earth.
