Breathtaking inanity, Exhibit 6578323423.

Denyse advertises the debate between Joe G and OgreMkV. Joe chimes in saying that the quote from Panda's Thumb could have been invented by Ogre:

Part of the problem, as my opponent pointed out, is what “Of Pandas and People” said about ID (I do not own a copy of the book and cannot verify that it is in there):

Quote

“Intelligent design means that various forms of life began abruptly through an intelligent agency, with their distinctive features already intact. Fish with fins and scales, birds with feathers, beaks, wings, etc.”

But not even that denies “evolution”, as in the change of allele frequency over time. But it denies common ancestry.

Yet the definition in the glossary, which can be viewed at Amazon (might have to scroll down), doesn’t say anything like the one alleged to be on pages 99-10 (above).

Joseph, did your debating partner give a page number for that within the book? Doesn’t sound like textbook language, but a page source might help find out.

Jesus H. Christ, these idiots couldn't find their own ass with both hands! 5 seconds of googling reveal that the quote has come up in Kitzmiller v. Dover:

BY MR. MUISE:

Q Dr. Behe, I've handed you what's been marked as defendant's exhibit 220, which is a copy Of Pandas and People, the second edition. Do you see that?

A Yes, I do.

Q I would like to direct your attention to page 99, please. I would like to read to you and oft-quoted passage in this case thus far. If you'll look at the bottom on page 99, it's going to continue onto 100 as well. It says, quote,

Intelligent design means that various forms of life began abruptly through an intelligent agency with their distinctive features already intact: Fish with fins and scales, birds with feathers, beaks and wings, et cetera. Some scientists have arrived at this view since fossil forms first appeared in the record with their distinctive features intact and apparently fully functional rather than gradual development.

Or they could look at the LINK I PROVIDED!!!!

You know the ONE TO A COURT OF LAW TRANSCRIPT!!!!!

You know where LYING TO THE COURT IS A CRIME!!!!!!

So, Joe has gone running to the denizens of the UD-hole for help in our little debate.

How much do you want to bet that his Behe quote in 5:10PM (currently #9) comment will end up in his rebuttal.

Try it Joe, just try it.  I can't wait.  Maybe you should ask Dembski for some help with this... oh wait, he wasn't at the Dover/Kitzmiller trial was he?  nevermind

I CAN haz edit (thanks... I think)!

BTW: Joe, think real carefully before you use that Behe quote.  It'll mean that ID is pretty much restricted to three systems and they are pretty much refuted by the literature.  So, good luck with that.

Ignored by those who can't provide evidence for their claims.
