I guess my point would be that the ability to calculate CSI (or lack thereof) does not effect my belief that life has been designed in the slightest. If life has not been designed, how would it be any different than it is? The evidence for the design of life is exquisite, and the more we learn, the more mind-boggling it is to me that anyone would come to any other conclusion. The whole CSI calculation just seems like pointless busy work to me.
There are certain single piece parts in the aerospace industry that have thousands of features, which means it contains an enormous amount of information. A single rectangular chunk of aluminum, on the other hand, has very little information. I havent the faintest clue how to go about calculating the CSI that is contained in either of them, but I know that the difference between the two is considerable. |
