Mr Cordova: Quote | My understanding is that if they have been around for a long time, all the water would have evaporated and sublimated off them by now. This indicates the comets are a recent phenomenon. |
How recent Sal? 6000 years recent? Quote | One might invoke an extra-solar source of coments to solve the problem, but this is speculative. |
Odd how Sal can dismiss something because it "is speculative" but fails to realise everything he is saying is nothing but speculation. Quote | My view is we’ll know better in the future when we have better telescopes and space probes. Still too many unknowns…. |
Yep. Better telescopes and more space probes and we might just find out that the cosmos is 6000 years old. Until then I guess we could say your "ideas" are idle speculation. That is in fact Sal's standard cop out. We'll know more about DNA when Solexa sequence more DNA. Just want and see. It's the god of tomorrow replacing the god of the gaps. Just another page in Sal's playbook he uses when trying to explain why he maintains these stupid ideas are feasible in the face of all of the available evidence.
Quote | Maybe a water based mechanism was responsible for the launch of comets as well. |
Not speculation? Quote | There could have been a nuclear reaction under the Earth. |
Not speculation?
Maybe. Could have. Not speculation.
-------------- I also mentioned that He'd have to give me a thorough explanation as to *why* I must "eat human babies". FTK
