I specifically asked you how the population of the world could be 30,000,000 a mere 13 or so generations after the population of the world was 6.

I think her answer was something to the effect: People just got busy. I think this would be acceptable to a little kid, and certainly if every person was able to "beget" 12+ people, of course you could imagine it.  Heck, with a little math, you could figure that they could make at least 156,728,328,192 people if that it were so simple. To treat this fairly, I think it's acceptable to question, with any logistic growth, limiting factors. Paradise was gone and there was no more endless bounty, so what was the competition like for resources? What was the fertility/mortality rate? How did they avoid obvious genetic problems associated with inbreeding?

Not only that, but when the 8 or 6 or whatever, people stepped off the Ark (crawling with VD btw) then what the flip did they and all the animals do for food? After all, the aftermath of a global flood would have been, somewhat, muddy one presumes.

FTK if you, as you just stated, carefully considered the historical evidence for your position could you fill in the gaps here?

ARK - Generation 1. 8 People
Generation 2: ? People
Number of people living when the great pyramid was constructed: ?

Number of people living at 0 BC?

Number of people living today: ?

FTK, if you've "carefully considered" your position then you already know the answers to these questions.

I mean, you've already admitted to telling your own children (which I consider abuse btw) that the earth could be 6000 years old. If that's your belief then you presumably also believe in the Ark myth, and so you've (no doubt to satisfy your insatiable appetite for facts) done the population calculations already.

What I've always found fascinating about this myth is that these 8 people knew god was pissed, he just killed everybody on the earth save 8 people. They would have written that down. Yet only a few generations later a group goes off, founds egypt, and created a religion with many many gods totally distinct from the "correct" religion, which after all was just proven to be correct by virtue of it's leader coming to earth and drowning everybody!

Seems to me everybody would be very carefull to not piss off the nutter vengeful god that only a few years ago drowned the earth, but somehow the egyptions seem to have forgotten all about that and made up different gods instead.

How do you explain that to your kids FTK when they come home having learnt about the pyramids? In fact, I believe there are pyramids about as old as you say the earth is!

I also mentioned that He'd have to give me a thorough explanation as to *why* I must "eat human babies".
