You seem to be saying that you are so unfamiliar with Nelson as to not know who or what he is.  You claim to know very little about his work.

Blipey, I am not as familiar with Nelson as I am with other ID supporters. Of course I know he supports ID.  He posts at UD, he was in Expelled and obviously he has helped write a new textbook in regard to exploring evolution.   I mean, goodness sakes, there's been a thread here for months in regard to the textbook.  I haven't read much of the thread.  But, you'd have to be completely blind not to notice it and the fact that Paul post from time to time.

But, my question to Wes was whether he has had in depth conversations with a "creation scientists".

Have you ever talked to a serious "modern" creation scientist at length?

The reason I asked is because he was indicating that creation supporters from the past were nothing like their modern counterparts.  When I consider the creationists I read about in that link I offered, I think of creation scientists like Walt Brown.  They all were under the impression that there was a worldwide flood and that the earth was young.  Some of those mentioned in that article changed their minds as time went on....but, as we know there are still many creation scientists and supporters around yet today.
