What if?
Here are some hypothetical scenarios, not reality, so I’ll be brief.
What if there was no light? There would be no eyes. What if there was no sound? There would be no ears. What if there was no direction? There would be no up or down, East or West. What if there was no symmetry? There would be no word ‘level’. What if there was no time? The sun would not rise tomorrow. What if there were no babies? There would be no breasts. What if there was no bush? There would be no burning bush. What if there was no A and Z? There would be no B through Y. What if there was no whole? There would be no leaven in 3 measures. What if there was no O? There would be no +1 or -1. What if there was no beginning and end? There would be no middle What if life didn’t have an ‘if’ in the middle? It would be called le. What if life didn’t have an ‘f’ in the middle? It would be a lie.
Edit Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Edit If God is a puzzle and you have all the pieces, the first and last are the easiest to find. The middle might be a problem.
The measure of a man’s life is written on his tombstone, between birth and death. Life is in the middle. IMO, life does have an ‘if’ in the middle. Check out the ifs in Ezekiel.
Eze 33:13 When I shall say to the righteous, [that] he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. Eze 33:14 Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; Eze 33:15 [If] the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die. Eze 33:16 None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

Great news. God’s wife is pregnant! (Rev. 12:5) It's not over till the fat lady sings! (Isa. 54:1 & Zec 9:9)
