There was a really sad post on UD recently where Dembski said a colleague who formerly supported ID no longer did so, and Dembski was asking his rabble what to do, and he was so desperate for support that he found solace in TroutMac's blatherings. Well, the Dembskis will never give up, and the Casey Luskins and GilDodgens will never give up, they've got that thousand-yard stare.
But there are some IDers and ID sympathizers who are kind of wondering where the science is. ID is like vaporware, or like a great new restaurant that has all these ads, and tells you how scrumptious they're going to be, how they're going to put all the other restaurants out of business, but the doors never seem to open. Real restaurants serve entrees. Real science publishes papers. No entrees, no restaurant. No papers, no science.
