Okay. Let's step back a second, and walk thru the reasoning process here.
People who say global warming is real say it will cause sea levels to rise and drown some islands in the South Pacific.
Yet an earthquake has raised some islands in the south Pacific.
Therefore, global warming is false.

I think tribune7 is just trying show the Intelligent Designer's intervention into Global warming.
Here everybody is worried this low-lying islands might be wiped out, so the Designer crafts up an earthwake to raise the island three whole meters. Who's worried about GW now?
So maybe some people were killed and pristine coral reefs (and along with the industries dependent on them) were destroyed. Think of it as the Ford Pinto of GW solutions. Imperfect design is still design, right?
