Quote (Amadan @ Mar. 21 2011,12:08) | ... and one of my great-grandfathers was English.
Why can't everyone just get on??? Or at least not be German? |
German? Oh hating the Germans is SOOOO 20th century. They're the strongest economy in Europe pretty much, now we have to envy them. We won the War, they won the Peace.
Hating has moved on to the 21st century. We don't hate people now, we merely "question" multiculturalism or "get very, very worried" about Islamists (who occasionally happen to be brownish). We can't hate people, that's naughty, but we can sure as hell plead that poor wickle Christians are being persecuted because they're not allowed to hate gays not have wicked immorality occurring in their public business, despite the definition of wicked immorality radically changing dependant on the situation.
We don't put up signs any more with "No Blacks, No Irish, No Dogs", that's discriminatory dontcherknow. We merely stroke our beards and look over our glasses in a thoughtful manner whilst hiding behind making serious sounding arguments about nasty strange people coming here and taking our stuff...or something.
After all if we let gay, Irish, Black, Jewish, Gypsies worship Mohammed and try to get on planes whilst wearing a turban and getting properly married then I won't be able to shag my wife properly. Or my mistress. That's because I'm a moral, concerned person.
