I recently came across an intriguing comment on the Designer, or G-o-d:
Being omniscient, he already knows the future, everything about the future, any event, big or small. This means that his hands are tied; he is unable to impose his will on the world; that would amount to making his prescience false. He's got to let events proceed according to what he already knows will happen.
I find that observation quite intriguing and it looks like a real Catch-22 to me. With implications for everything under the sun. |
