So god-boy:

I have a standing offer to worship whatever god-thingy will heal me.

All he/she/it/one of them has to do is:
appear to me (a dream/vision will suffice)
name itself
name my condition to be cured
state what actions will be required in return for this cure (I reserve the right of refusal if said conditions are beyond my ethics)

It's been 10 years, and none have shown up.

Do you really want to know if there is a God or not?  Because if you do, there's a way.

It's pretty simple actually... You just have to say this every day:
"God, if you're real, then reveal yourself to me so I can believe in you."
(The tricky part of course, is that you have to actually mean it when you say those words.)

If you really want to know about God, he'll reveal himself to you - I guarantee it.  It's 100% dependent upon your openness to it though.

So do you really want to know or not?

Abiogenesis to evangelising using the No True Scotsman fallacy in one fell swoop eh Danny?

Way to go champ. Two questions:

1) How do you know, for example, that I haven't done EXACTLY what you describe?

2) Have you read those references yet?

Louis

Louis,

I printed out and will read the following Orgel papers (these were available for free - though Orgel is not the main author):

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.

I also read this webpage from Rebek, and printed out this paper by none-of-the-above simply because it looked interesting.

I don't know if these will give me a good picture of where you're coming from or not, but I'll read them anyway.  It might take me awhile to read all of them.  Hopefully I'll gain a bit of insight.  If you have any links or comments on these papers, please feel free.
