The emphasis is there simply because of Larry's self-indictment that he thought that he was banned as of the early date but continued posting. A person who isn't sociopathic and believes themselves to be banned from an online forum does not insist on attempting to circumvent the procedures and facilities used to effect that ban.
Yes, Larry is well and truly banned from the comment system at PT. His misapprehensions may have played a role in his initiation of unacceptable posting behavior, but the fact is that he has violated PT comment rules and is not welcome there any longer. Any comments known or strongly suspected to come from Larry that appear on PT will be unpublished as they are recognized. Responses to such posts may also be unpublished or moved to the Bathroom Wall at the discretion of the thread contributor or administrators.
Larry seems to have a non sequitur going with his obsession over PT's SA Web Award. SA doesn't require recipients to even have online comment facilities, much less that rulebreakers be allowed to continually abuse a comment system at their whim. And SA seems to only rarely recognize a website in multiple years. In fact, the only instance I have yet found is the "Becoming Human" site, which received awards in 2001 and 2002. If SA asks us about any complaint that Larry might make, we will simply provide them with every comment Larry has made on the system, including the various aliases and obvious attempts to evade his banning, the threats made against the system, and our comment policy. SA will easily be able to verify the massive abuse of the comment system made by Larry. I rather doubt that any rational human being would find merit in such a complaint from a person guilty of such blatant abuse, and that has nothing to do with outlook or viewpoint.
PT's comment system, by and large, works well. In two years, the number of non-spam bannings is less than 15 total, and that includes today's ban of "jonboy" for repeated plagiarized comments. Non-sociopaths have found the minimal constraints of the PT rules not to be a problem.
