Our civilisation is fast using up its legacy of that sort of goodwill.
Ask the ghosts of those who saw Rome fall apart, and their descendants for hundreds of years, whether the price of decadence was worth it.

Not that gordo will listen but someone should keep pointing out to him that he does not live in the USA, has never lived in the USA, is not governed by the USA, will never be governed by the USA, has no right to any benefits/protections of the USA, and that quoting part of The USA Declaration of Independence or any other law of the USA as though it applies to him is DISHONEST BULLSHIT.
