Catastrophism, in the thelogical sense, not the geological sense seems to underpin more and more posts here.
Is it me or is there a ‘lip-smackingly’ gleeful hope for a quick rapture, and now? Do I detect a Tertullian desire for a front row seet at ‘judgement’, when I and my fellow atheists are brought to accounts?
If so, grow up!

rvb8, yes you are detecting that, but nothing new there. There have been these kind of raving lunatics desperately believing in, predicting, and hoping for the end of the world, ever since humans invented speech I would imagine. Certainly it is prevalent during the period of recorded history.

Explain also in a nutshell what happened over the next 1,000 years or so. Why.
