In support of his points, he quotes somebody named Ray Bohlin (Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology).

He's a YEC.

Because, ya know, ID and YEC have nothing to do with each other.

I'm in DEEP trouble.  Uncommonly Denyse agrees with you.

(I think that means you're in trouble too, Muppet Man).

Hey Steve, you're closing in on 4,000 posts. Should we all chip in and get you the Tura Satana lunchbox to celebrate?

If you want. I can't say my 4,000 posts have really contributed much. Mainly I just like to point and laugh, though I do occasionally contribute what I think is a nice piece of analysis. Pound for pound, though, there are more valuable contributors here, like Phonon, Albatrossity, and Zachriel.

(And of course everybody else I'm too lazy to mention)

And the lunchbox might not be a good idea. She's cute, for sure, but everytime I see her, I think, 'I hope that poor girl got some breast reduction surgery before she got savage back problems.'

I've had 20-year-old girlfriends with D-cups who were already having problems, I can't imagine what poor Tura dealt with.

This is what we have to make fun of now:

The following poem entitled “First they came…” is inscribed at the Boston Holocaust Memorial. Those who believe Guillermo Gonzalez’ involvement with ID outside the Iowa State campus can be justly used in consideration of whether or not to grant him tenure would be well served to think about this.

First they came…

They came first for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

I think the IDers are basically on the verge of forming a religious cult based on the Martyrdom of Guillermo Gonzalez.

hmm, I notice also that Arden and I (as of this post) have exactly the same number of posts.

this proves that Arden and I are in fact, the same person.

argue with that, if you can!

I believe that Martin M answers and Trumps you DaveTard from a post at Ed Brayton's SciBlog

So how's that supposed to go, then?

They first came for those with poor publication records,
and I didn't speak up because I publish just fine.
Then they came for the unfunded,
and I didn't speak up because I get plenty of grants.
Then they came for the pseudoscientists,
and I didn't speak up because my science is coherent.
Then they came for me,
and I pointed out that I'm actually competent.
And they said 'OK, then' and left.

Doesn't really have the same power as the original, somehow.

Somebody fisks the fisking. DS says

UD Subscriber Magnan pinches his nose closed long enough to fisk Mark Chu-Carrol’s vitriolic spittle strewn imbecilic diatribe “review” of Michael Behe’s new book The Edge of Evolution: The Search for the Limits of Darwinism in a comment here. I reproduce it in its entirety. Now that someone has responded to it point by point I hope those who have been losing sleep over it can get some rest.

IT's just a shame that magnan then says

Quote
I found mostly prejudiced misinterpretations and invalid arguments, more than I can completely recount here.

Why? Is UD running out of bytes? What's stopping you recounting the full list Magnan?

Yet his "fisking" comes to nothing in the end

Quote
Behe doesn’t mention recombination because mutation is still the major source of change to the genome, as admitted in many orthodox MET sources. Recombination mainly reshuffles alleles (different mutated versions of genes) during reproduction of sex cells in eukaryotic organisms.

Sure, make excuses for Behe. And what's the "as admitted in many orthodox MET sources" about? Don't tell me IDiots pick and choose what bits of "real" science they parasitise? SHocking.

I want to see Master Tard calculate the probability that two separate people on this board that had posted over 2000 would have the exact same number of posts.

like i said, the probability is just too overwhelming for it to be any other explanation than that we are simply the same person posting under multiple identities.

steve should ban us.
