Meanwhile the Why some biologists are beginning to question the “biological species concept” thread by Denews has been entertaining to follow. Mimus and Brother Brian kick the comments off pointing out that the implication in the title is simply wrong: the idea that ‘species’ is difficult to impossible to define has been acknowledged by scientists for a very long time. (Bob O’H also points out that the title does not reflect the content that the OP quotes, but hey, it’s Denyse - what do you expect?)
The regulars pretty much acknowledge Mimus’ and BB’s point, but being UDers they argue the point anyway. Bornagain77 chimes in several times with his usual barrage of words, quotes and links, twice referring to the ‘point’ he is making.
