January 2, 2017 Posted by johnnyb under Biology, Naturalism

whew! good thing the UD scientists won't miss the deadline to submit their papers to the online 'conference'

:p

Seversky's comment there was naughty.

Instead of submitting paper, maybe they should submit electronically?

what i found funny was just the idea that anyone at UD was going to be submitting scholarly papers. Can you imagine BA or KF presenting their 'research'? You could do better by giving a biology undergrad a bottle of Boone's Farm.

Are you suggesting that condescending sermonizing not supported by evidence is not worthy of an accepted conference paper? Censorship I say. Censorship.

Silver Asiatic, I wouldn’t be so impressed with ba77’s research unless you’ve checked it out for yourself; pretty much everything of his that I’ve checked out (or know about independently) he’s significantly wrong about.

Take the quantum Zeno effect as an example. He says “How in blue blazes can conscious observation put a freeze on entropic decay, unless consciousness was and is more foundational to reality than the 1 in 10^10^123 initial entropy is?” But if you actually look at the experiment that he cites, it didn’t involve conscious observation at all. It used a laser beam to put the freeze on decay. Far from showing something special about consciousness, it shows that (at least in this respect) a conscious observer can be replaced by a beam of light.
i don't know this Gordon Davisson, but this is great.

AM-Nat appears to consist, in it's entirety, of johnnyb.  (Possibly also Paley the cat).  I suspect Batshit and Gobshite would fit in reasonably well.

Thus, contrary to the claims of Darwinists that entropy presents no obstacle for Darwinian evolution, the fact of the matter is that not only is entropy not compatible with life, but entropy is found to be the primary source for death and destruction in this universe. In fact, Jesus Christ, in his defiance of gravity at his resurrection from the dead, apparently had to deal directly with the deadly force of entropy in his resurrection from the dead.

The last online conference featured that famous scientist, Salvador Cordova, talking about God knows what plus a bunch of losers i never even heard of before.  In other words, the very cream of ID science and scientists.

Of course, to anybody who pays attention to what entropy means to physicists would know that it means only that to use energy over a period of time, a source of energy has to be available for that period of time.

No wonder that Dionisio tries to claim that comments at UD were qualitatively better than those at TSZ: UD hadn't a stellar year 2016:

Number of comments

2005:  8,400
2006: 23,000
2007: 22,400
2008: 23,100
2009: 41,100
2010: 24,800
2011: 41,400
2012: 28,400
2013: 42,000
2014: 53,700
2015: 53,100
2016: 28,000

TSZ has certainly gathered more comments last year, quite probably even more than 53,700 - the number of comments at UD in 2014 - its  best year so far...
