Astronomers announced today that they have found eight new planets in the "Goldilocks" zone of their stars, orbiting at a distance where liquid water can exist on the planet's surface.

Planets in the habitable zone of red dwarf stars would be in tidal lock- ie the rotation = revolution. One side will always face the star.

If scientists want to find habitable planets they only need to follow the leads of "The Privileged Planet".

Ah, so you're an astronomy expert too, eh?

Tell us about "The Privileged Planet", joey, and especially what's in it (that real astronomers don't already know) that would direct astronomers to habitable planets.

You will stick around long enough to do that, won't you, or are you anxious to get back to the sanctuaries of UD and your unintelligent blabbering blog?

Real astronomers should know about the tidal lock that would be with red dwarf stars. Why are they even looking at red dwarf stars for habitable planets? Obviously they don't know that much.

On average Joe, each year IS warmer than the years before. Not on a yearly basis, but definitely on a decade basis. Of course, the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere varies on a yearly and seasonal basis too... doesn't it?

Three of the top five (including the two hottest) are within the last 4 years. Nine of the top ten are within the last 12 years

But, I understand that you don't care. You don't want to learn anything. And will fight, to the death, to avoid having to admit a mistake.

The mid-Pliocene was warmer than today, Kevin. And the Miocene may have been warmer than that.

So it's not warming and anyway it's been warmer.

I never said that it wasn't warming, asshole. It's as if you chumps are proud to be assholes.

Hey joey, do you believe that allah will prevent any harm to Earth, such as anthropogenic global warming/climate change, or do you believe that allah wants people to harm Earth as much as they like and not worry about the consequences?

The Sun has more to do with the warming than CO2 does. The 19th century had us coming out of a little ice age so of course it will be warmer today than back then. Warm is good. CO2 is good.

Which is exactly what I said and what we see.

Thanks for admitting that Joe. Now, if we can just get you to see the connection between greenhouse gases and global temperature increases, we might actually get some real knowledge into that skull.

The Sun has more to do with the warming than CO2 does. The 19th century had us coming out of a little ice age so of course it will be warmer today than back then. Warm is good. CO2 is good.

joey, as anyone with a clue would realize, Ogre wasn't comparing recent global warming/climate change to the Mid-Pliocene or the Miocene, or to the Triassic, Cambrian, or any other ancient time period.

"The Sun has more to do with the warming than CO2 does."

And your evidence of that is___?

"Warm is good. CO2 is good."

Wow joey, you REALLY don't get it.

Joe "I never said it wasn't warming asshole" said:

On average each year is not warmer than the year before. We have had recent years which were just as cool as in the 70s.

Or do you mean the bell bottoms?

There can be a warming TREND without each year being on average warmer than the previous year

Which is exactly what I said and what we see.

My evidence that the Sun has more to do with climate is called SCIENCE. And twitty, YOU really don't get it. Perhaps you should have had that syphilis taken care of years ago.

That is refuted by the fact the mid-Pliocene was warmer than today.

Hey joey, do you believe that allah will prevent any harm to Earth, such as anthropogenic global warming/climate change, or do you believe that allah wants people to harm Earth as much as they like and not worry about the consequences?

Hey twitty, do you diddle little kids because you have a small penis and it looks bigger in their little hands?

You should be asking your beloved prophet mohammed that question.

Hey joey, you haven't fizzled out already, have you? Tell us more about how privileged Earth is, and how allah created and sustains it that way, and how to find habitable planets, and how warming and CO2 are good, and about the Sun, and all of your other claims.

Hi Joe. When are you going to publish your proof that Cantor was wrong about set theory? I am sure that we are all looking forward to it.

Will it be a companion piece to your published proof that frequency = wavelength?
