You missed "false colour of law".

They've used it all up on the Presidential Election threads. And because noone gave them new paintboxes for Christmas, they're having to make do with aquamarine.

Somewhere, recently, I've seen a news article (real news, that is, not Denyse) which says that Trump's switching on of the "don't fund abortion providers" clauses for Federal funding has led to an increase in abortions due to the shutting down of family planning advice.

Comprehensive sex education and access to contraceptives reduces the abortion rate. But they don’t give a shit about reducing the rate. They want to act self-righteous and Punish the Whores and whip up fundy voters.

Somebody pointed out last year that anti-abortion is perfect for conservatives. If you want to help homeless veterans, that costs money. If you wanna get food to hungry toddlers, that costs money. Attacking those sluts getting abortions is free.

If they really cared about abortion they’d be railing against Israel, where abortion is government-subsidized.

I wonder if the false colour is the red (of herring), and comes as a flammable oil-based paint.

Again, for the learning impaired: SCIENCE says that life starts at conception. If it is a human embryo then it is a human life. I say that IVF should be outlawed.

I apologize. I should say that “I don’t care” what your opinion is. There are two people alive, healthy and happy who wouldn’t exist if you got your way. Do you honestly want to be the one to tell them that their existence is the result of evil? If so, I respectfully propose that you are seeing evil in a mirror.

Kairosfocus “ SA2, Multiply “I don’t see” (a Freudian slip) by “I don’t care” (a declaration of willful blindness in the face of holocaust) and the result is even worse.”

No, it is simply a declaration that I don’t care about your opinion on this subject. I don’t mean this as an insult so please don’t take it as one. I am sure that there are millions of peoples’ opinions that I don’t care about, as there are millions who don’t care about many of my opinions. That is just the nature of our gregarious existence and having free will.

All I know is that there are two beautiful young people wandering this earth (actually, more than a million in the US alone). I would prefer if the IVF process didn’t often result in non-viable or non-implanted embryos. And I would also prefer that the success rate was higher than it currently is. But I don’t regret for one minute the decisions my daughter made. If you think this makes me an immoral person, that is your opinion and you are entitled to hold it. But as I mentioned, I have no obligation to accept or care about your opinion.

But I think I have talked enough about this subject. I am obviously not going to change your mind, and you aren’t going to change mine. Any more discussion would be futile as we would not be engaging in a discussion, we would just both be sermonizing.

I agree, Stevie-boy ain’t gonna be around long.

The rioting yesterday was in support of the incredibly ignorant, childish and uneducated imbecile that we allowed to become president through complicit indifference. He was put in power by playing to the portion of the country that are just as ignorant, childish, and uneducated as himself. It’s quite fitting to watch you guys so vehemently support him and give credence to all these conspiracy theories. I guess it’s exactly what I should expect from a bunch of climate change-denying, anti-evolution crackpots. Next you’ll be telling us 9/11 was an inside job and the government puts fluoride in the water to control our minds. I love that you guys are simply so delusional and wrong about everything.

To give us a small glimpse of the power that was involved in Christ’s resurrection from the dead, the following recent article found that, ”it would take 34 Thousand Billion Watts of VUV radiations to make the image on the shroud. This output of electromagnetic energy remains beyond human technology.”

Astonishing discovery at Christ’s tomb supports Turin Shroud – NOV 26TH 2016
Excerpt: The first attempts made to reproduce the face on the Shroud by radiation, used a CO2 laser which produced an image on a linen fabric that is similar at a macroscopic level. However, microscopic analysis showed a coloring that is too deep and many charred linen threads, features that are incompatible with the Shroud image. Instead, the results of ENEA “show that a short and intense burst of VUV directional radiation can color a linen cloth so as to reproduce many of the peculiar characteristics of the body image on the Shroud of Turin, including shades of color, the surface color of the fibrils of the outer linen fabric, and the absence of fluorescence”.
‘However, Enea scientists warn, “it should be noted that the total power of VUV radiations required to instantly color the surface of linen that corresponds to a human of average height, body surface area equal to = 2000 MW/cm2 17000 cm2 = 34 thousand billion watts makes it impractical today to reproduce the entire Shroud image using a single laser excimer, since this power cannot be produced by any VUV light source built to date (the most powerful available on the market come to several billion watts )”.
Comment
The ENEA study of the Holy Shroud of Turin concluded that it would take 34 Thousand Billion Watts of VUV radiations to make the image on the shroud. This output of electromagnetic energy remains beyond human technology.

Verse:

Colossians 1:15-20
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Of supplemental note. Advances in quantum biology, besides falsifying Darwinian materialism, now offer compelling evidence that humans have a transcendent component to their being that is capable of living beyond the death of our material, temporal, bodies.

As Stuart Hameroff states in the following article, “the quantum information,,, isn’t destroyed. It can’t be destroyed.,,, it’s possible that this quantum information can exist outside the body. Perhaps indefinitely as a soul.”

Is There Life After Death? Scientist Says The Soul Survives After The Heart Stops Beating –
October 29, 2012
Excerpt: “Let’s say the heart stops beating. The blood stops flowing. The microtubules lose their quantum state. But the quantum information, which is in the microtubules, isn’t destroyed. It can’t be destroyed. It just distributes and dissipates to the universe at large. If a patient is resuscitated, revived, this quantum information can go back into the microtubules and the patient says, “I had a near death experience. I saw a white light. I saw a tunnel. I saw my dead relatives.,,” Now if they’re not revived and the patient dies, then it’s possible that this quantum information can exist outside the body. Perhaps indefinitely as a soul.”

I advise you to not post in this thread anymore. We see a clear refusal from kairosfocus to deal with the experimental part of his ideas. Indeed we see an Orwellian relabeling of experiments as “toxic distractions”. Very sad and something very foreign to any scientist or engineer.

I think more and more that UD was designed as some containment keep KF from doing real harm. It must provide some relief for Montserratians that it keeps him away from the streets.

GEMs experiences were shaped by growing up and living in post-war Jamaica (before escaping to Montserrat), where polarised politics were fuelled by drug gangs (possees) acting as enforcers. It seems to have left an indelible impression.

At 1, JVL said: “Maybe there is no God, only mathematics? We know mathematics exists, do we know God exists?”

BA replied,
Quote

But alas for JVL’s atheistic druthers, the existence of Mathematics itself is simply devastating to any materialistic and/or naturalistic explanation of Darwinian evolution since mathematics itself exists in a immaterial, beyond space and time, realm. A eternal “Platonic Realm” that simply is not reducible to any possible materialistic explanation.

BA’s reply doesn’t follow. Not believing in God does not necessarily mean that one believes in a materialistic explanation for math: those are not the only two possibilities.

For instance, there are Platonists who nevertheless do not believe in a personal God. They do believe a world of Platonic mathematical forms imprints themselves on the physical world without a personal divine diety being involved. I know BA has many thousands of words prepared to support his belief in God, which I am not interested in. I just think he should be aware of, and acknowledge, that his theism/materialism dichotomy doesn’t cover all the ground.

And here I thought mathematics was an abstract concept, rather than an object that physically exists someplace that's else.

At Dover 15 years ago the ID hot air balloon sprung a leak. Most of the smarter creationists saw the writing on the wall and have moved on. Most of the commentary from the people who are left is Joe with his rage disorder, KF shaking his fist against the universe about the gays, and poor clueless bornagain who will hopefully one day get some successful psychiatric treatment.
