Can I derail this with some happy news? I just got married. That is all.

(The announcement makes more sense if you've seen the new Mad Max.)

Congrats. Was it "designed", or did it occur naturally?

Well, it took place in a chapel--although one that would probably give some of our friends at UD the vapors (to bring us back moderately to the alleged topic of the thread).

Wouldn't getting married in Nurse Chapel involve "Fantastic Voyage" technology?

Congratulations and best wishes on the nuptials!

I was hoping that Cornelius Hunter would be less slimy than Barry in his moderation. I have been proven wrong. I posted the following:
Quote
"Because the predicted mutation rate, based on the theory of evolution, is a factor of two off from the measured value, whereas evolutionists have assumed much greater accuracy than this."

But the measured rate is based on less than 1% of the time span, and that at one of the extreme ends of the time span.

If you were given the average annual temperature for 2013, 2014 and 2015, would you have confidence in using this to predict the average annual temperature from 2013 to 2313?

He changed it to this:

Posted for a friend:

Cornelius today also silently banned Adapa and deleted several posts of his from the same thread.  Another wonderfully open and honest thing to do.

Cornelius wants to be Barry and have his blog be the new UD in the worst way.  And so it is, in the worst way.

Re "Because the predicted mutation rate, based on the theory of evolution"

The predicted mutation rate?? Also, "the" rate? I've gathered that the rate in a particular lineage can be inferred from comparing gene sequences of living relatives, but doesn't it typically vary somewhat from one lineage to another?

Ha!  Good thing I am late to the party - I get to wish BOTH of you Happy Marital Bliss with only 1 post!  May you both have many happy, healthy kids that grow up to make Barry, Gordo and all the trogs at UD very unhappy!

You forgot to say that they should do so with their respective spouses.

Presumably...

Well done to both of yiz, though I have to point out that it always ends in death or divorce.
