Sexuality has brought joy to the world, to the world of the wild beasts, and to the world of flowers, but it has brought an end to evolution. In the lineages of living beings, whenever absent-minded Venus has taken the upper hand, forms have forgotten to make progress. It is only the husbandman that has improved strains, and he has done so by bullying, enslaving, and segregating. All these methods, of course, have made for sad, alienated animals, but they have not resulted in new species. Left to themselves, domesticated breeds would either die out or revert to the wild state—scarcely a commendable model for nature’s progress.

-----

Natural Selection, which indeed occurs in nature (as Bishop Wilberforce, too, was perfectly aware), mainly has the effect of maintaining equilibrium and stability. It eliminates all those that dare depart from the type—the eccentrics and the adventurers and the marginal sort. It is ever adjusting populations, but it does so in each case by bringing them back to the norm. We read in the textbooks that, when environmental conditions change, the selection process may produce a shift in a population’s mean values, by a process known as adaptation. If the climate turns very cold, the cold-adapted beings are favored relative to others.; if it becomes windy, the wind blows away those that are most exposed; if an illness breaks out, those in questionable health will be lost. But all these artful guiles serve their purpose only until the clouds blow away. The species, in fact, is an organic entity, a typical form, which may deviate only to return to the furrow of its destiny; it may wander from the band only to find its proper place by returning to the gang.

Everything that disassembles, upsets proportions or becomes distorted in any way is sooner or later brought back to the type. There has been a tendency to confuse fleeting adjustments with grand destinies, minor shrewdness with signs of the times.

It is true that species may lose something on the way—the mole its eyes, say, and the succulent plant its leaves, never to recover them again. But here we are dealing with unhappy, mutilated species, at the margins of their area of distribution—the extreme and the specialized. These are species with no future; they are not pioneers, but prisoners in nature’s penitentiary.

Only magic gets you beyond that.

Support the claim the changes between the common ancestor and the extant species are genetically unreachable.

Again with prove a negative.

Where is your evidence such genetic ancestry is impossible?

RUN JOKE RUN!   :D    :D    :D

Darn he pulled my pants down again  :(

My genetic evidence for common ancestry is right above

Your evidence for a COMMON DESIGN is there.

You haven't shown evidence of ANY design Joke, let alone common design.

It's your usual cowardly excuse for ignoring genetic evidence.  Something we've seen from your lying cowardly ass too many times to count.  :D

Once again we've seen Joke Gallien make a fool of himself with the Joke Cha-cha:

1. Joke makes amazingly stupid science-free claim
2. Joke is shown scientific evidence disproving the claim
3. Joke ignores and lies about the evidence, screams out the same stupidity for a dozen more pages.

Thanks again, OA! Let's see, "...the book lacks any coherent thread, any substantial argument that is logically developed." Reminds me of a certain thread's namesake. Apparently the book is 176 pages; that's not terribly long, but I would rather reread the Chick tract "Big Daddy?".

You haven't shown evidence of ANY design

The genetic code and the system to carry it out, is evidence for ID. That's because 100% of our knowledge, observations and experiences say that codes and the systems to carry them out only arise via intelligent agencies.

Your side doesn't even have a mechanism capable of producing biologically relevant replicators.

Quote (Joe G @ Dec. 16 2019,19:50)

Right, you posted those same quotes on your blog on "TUESDAY, APRIL 17, 2012", without a link to the original texts, or a link to where one could find and read the original texts. Your post received 0 comments.

Extracting quotes to make a point is understandable, expected, and not inappropriate, but using the same quotes without attribution, and after so many years, tends to weaken that point, whatever it might have been in the first place.

ETA: Joe's post from 2012 is here.

So what? You have had 7 years to find peer-reviewed evidence to refute it and yet all you have is your moaning like a bitch

That is a lie and you are a liar. I have NEVER thrown insults or accusations at anyone for merely disagreeing.

Because Joke calling someone a "retarded faggot infant" is always done in the context of a serious scientific discussion.   :D

We weren't having a scientific discussion when I made that astute observation. It isn't my fault that you argue like a retarded faggot infant.

And again, no one has provide any evidence that I have thrown insults or accusations at anyone for merely disagreeing. That is very telling...

Moderators, why is it OK for “Ed George”, aka William Spearshake, to lie about me and post false accusations?

Try reading the bolded part and keep a straight face. It's impossible.

And yet you have failed to provide any evidence to the contrary. It's as if that evidence doesn't exist. But then again, you can't keep a straight face as you cringe because what I said is true.

Other than the 869 pages right here of you throwing insults at those who disagree with you. You remember those? The ones that you went ballistic over when I posted them for your butt buddies to read over at UD?

Joe only does dogograms once a year on its birthday in a soggy green t-shirt under orders from some femigod apparently masquerading as his wife. Pity his mother died 45 years ago from hillbilly dissatisfaction where we would be saved from his bare assed idiot charades for the entertainment of the pneumatic greek man as woman(wife) that has to share its internet photos of a rotting  cardboard John Holmes.

Joe does your dog rights animal activist  goat/wife actually consider your extreme right sensibilities when she orders  your subservience to an actual dog that is not a God?

I have an original recipe for a Corpse Reviver No. 2, from The Savoy drinks book published in the 1920s. The recipe reads, in, part, "Three taken in quick succession will soon act to derevive the corpse."

Unlikely. Nando's obsessions are distinguishable from Joe's.
