Maybe you should write them and tell them atmospheric CO2 can't trap heat unless all the molecules point the right way.

That was hilarious. :D :p :)

And how does evolution by means of natural selection and drift account for any of this?

with the discovery of this sucking whale

Are you referring to Joke or the cetacean fossil? :D

Speaking of CO2, what would be the average temperature here if there wasn't any of it in the air?

Two more gaps!

If baleen whales evolved from toothed whales via toothless whales, why are there still monkeys?

Because Darwin recanted on his deathbed, DUH.

And, nobody else thought of it, even after research of DNA would have made it obvious even if nobody had figured it out before that.

When I read origin of the species, the thing that really made it seem scary smart is that he figured that shit out before DNA was even discovered.

It is still an untestable claim to say that whales evolved from something other than whales. Darwin had bears evolving into whales. How did that turn out?

No one would be here to care, dumbass. Plants start dying when the CO2 level reaches 150PPM.

And if there wasn't any atmosphere then the daytime temps would be similar to those on the Moon.

Well above 150ppm. And if gets down to 150, ie reaches 150, then plants will start dying.

You claim to be an expert on CO2 and global warming but you don't know what the current CO2 levels are? As your boy-toy Gordon Mullings would say, that speaks volumes, and not in your favour.

That was a rhetorical question. Of course it would kill everything if that actually happened; what I was wondering was what is the contribution that the present level of CO2 makes to current temperature.

But don't worry, I knew you wouldn't have an answer to that question.

Transmission spectra of the major atmospheric gases please scroll to page 5

It appears that only the CO2 emission of 4.3 um has any effect on the over all GHG emissions. There is a little addition around 15 but water vapor prevails.

The point being is CO2 seems to be a very minor player. It's the humid air that takes longer to heat and cool.

Jack, I suspect your comments are going straight to trash. My IP is blocked from wayback but if I switch to VPN and try and post on my old account, I can log in, compose a comment and post it but it just disappears. No "your comment is awaiting moderation". Barry would appear to be using the "comment blacklist" filter, where a comment "contains any of these words in its content, name, URL, email, or IP address, it will be put in the trash".

Alan, You are just an ignorant asshole who A) doesn't know what science is and B) cannot put forth a scientific alternative to Intelligent Design.

Yes Intelligent Design is science as it, unlike your position, makes testable claims, which is a hallmark of science.

Yes, dipshit, ice is a solid and water is a liquid. Only moron would think that a solid is a liquid and here you are.

Also frequency and wavelength are interchangeable. Again your ignorance, while amusing, is not an argument.

Over on TSZ Alan Fox sez that natural selection is "the only workable scientific explanation on the table". Unfortunately he doesn't offer any examples of that which pretty much shows he is talking out of his ass, again.

No one has been able to work out natural selection producing ATP synthase, any bacterial flagellum- well any multi-protein complex. Heck they can't even do it for peppered moths and the beaks of finches.

So what the fuck is Alan talking about?

All over the Internet Joe sez that Intelligent Design is "the only workable scientific explanation on the table". Unfortunately he doesn't offer any examples of that which pretty much shows he is talking out of his ass, again.

No one has been able to work out Intelligent Design producing ATP synthase, any bacterial flagellum- well any multi-protein complex. Heck they can't even do it for peppered moths and the beaks of finches.

So what the fuck is Joe talking about?

You are clearly an ignorant asshole because I have offered up many examples of ID being the only scientific explanation on the table.

Yes, we have worked out that ATP synthase was intelligently designed. Yes we have worked out that all bacterial flagella have been intelligently designed.

Genetic code? Yup, intelligently designed.

So clearly HenryJ is just an ignorant asshole and proud of it.

If you take a look at ATP synthase you can see it consists of two major subunits (F0 & F1) that are connected together by an external tether. This tether doesn't have anything to do with the functionality of either subunit but without it no ATP synthase. The problem for evolution by blind and mindless processes is exacerbated. Not only does it need to produce the two subunits but one has to be embedded in some membrane so that a gradient can be formed. And the other has to to be stably tethered to the membrane the proper distance away. The tether looks like the membrane subunit F0 somehow formed an external docking site the proper length with F1 forming an external mating site.

Again these two different protein subunits, the tether and mate, have nothing to do with the function of the protein complexes they are attached to and tether together. And without them there is no way to get the two working subunits together to produce ATP.

There you have it- A simple external tether that stably holds the major F1 subunit/ rotary motor the proper distance away from its F0 motor force is evidence for the Intelligent Design of ATP synthase. The two major subunits and how it works is just icing on the cake.

Evidence that ATP synthase was Intelligently Designed

Whoops- I confused Texass Tech for HenryJ. But in my defense all evoTARDs appear to be the same
