In a recent message, FTK said this: Quote I am saying emphatically that, from an atheist perspective, our morality evolved along with everything else on planet earth.  From a *true* atheist perspective (very few people are true atheists, IMHO), I was intrigued by FTK's apparent statment here, which seems to be that most people who *say* they're atheists aren't really atheists. What I'm predicting is one of those things where someone tries to define some group and gets to say who is or isn't a member, not unlike when Protestants say Catholics aren't Christians. But, in the interest of fairness, I should ask FTK what she meant by this, in case I'm completely misunderstanding it: 1) are you saying most people who claim to be atheists aren't really atheists? 2) if so, WHY are most professed atheists not the real deal? I don’t play that game; if someone identifies him/herself as a Christian that’s what I call that person too.
