Ed George, if you don’t think that “pro-life is a strongly held religious belief” that should be given the full protection of the law perhaps you would like to debate the details of the matter a little more personally in my basement so as to give me the chance to convince you that you yourself are a deeply ‘religious’ pro-life advocate? Far more so than you think.

Or is he just inviting EG to his basement for a little Bible reading?
Deeply crazy

And here we are once again, at the ultimate end-game of religion. "Believe what I tell you to believe, or I will kill you."

Same as it ever was.

Seversky, it is humorous that you, of all people, the most dogmatic Darwinian atheist on UD, would be the only one to defend Ed G.’s claim that socialized medicine is the way for America to go.

It is also humorous that you, of all people, the most dogmatic Darwinian atheist on UD, want me to cite specific evidence for these claims.

Dark matter is a desperate attempt to rescue a failing theory.

And, in my estimation, that is all it is.

Possibly (time will tell) it is also a failure.

The evidence presented by the electric universe theorists is quite compelling in its claims that gravity is not the be-all and end-all of cosmic structure.

Whether their theory is any better at explaining other things I could not say, but my view is they’ve done more than enough to demonstrate that electromagnetism cannot be discounted in the matter of galactic formation and behaviour.

Thus, the inventing of unobservables in order to maintain current orthodoxy does not appear at all necessary nor desirable.

Are you suggesting that Batshitcrazy77 goes running to Barry every time anyone asks him a question that he can’t answer without embarrassing himself? I am shocked that you would make such an accusation against such a good Christian. Shocked, I say.

Even though I'm banned, or blocked, or something, I still post things occasionally just to linger in limbo. After Seversky made a reasonable comment about the fact that the Zellinger video was interesting, and about how there is more than reductionistic descriptions of the world, ba posted four typical, long hodge-podge posts (8000 words). My response:

"Way to derail a potentially interesting discussion, ba!"

He just an automaton: push a button and out comes some copy-paste subset of his supply of pre-written comments and links.

Weird.

He doesn't appear to have noticed that some of his source material is old enough to have become irrelevant. At least three of the links in those four comments lead to expired pages, e.g. a link to UC Riverside:

Jack, I suspect your comments are going straight to trash. My IP is blocked from wayback but if I switch to VPN and try and post on my old account, I can log in, compose a comment and post it but it just disappears. No "your comment is awaiting moderation". Barry would appear to be using the "comment blacklist" filter, where a comment "contains any of these words in its content, name, URL, email, or IP address, it will be put in the trash".

Not about the Uncommonly Dense ones but over at the Discover Institute tard farm they are heavily pushing Behe's new (regurgitated) piece of trash book Darwin Devolves as "the perfect Christmas gift!".  Perfect if your loved one just had a complete frontal lobotomy that is.

What caught my attention is if you order now you get for free a , ahem, "41 episode video series university-level course on Intelligent Design".  :D

41 episodes.   I'm guessing it runs a bit past 20 minutes total.  30 seconds each episode to point to some biological objects and say "gee, this sure looks designed to me!"

I do love the blurb at the end claiming "This course is a $50 value!"   $50 for a university level course sounds about right for ID clown college.  :D

Spending $50 at a circus would be much better value. Still if those clowns want a university course they could try  Ecole Philippe Gaulier at only 2300€ a term.

Color me shocked that with all the hardcore science'ing going on over at UD they haven't discovered this themselves rather than those clearly fraudulent dogmatic Darwinian atheistic materialists.
