Well, what exactly are we talking about here, the Telsa Roadster or the Tesla Roadster? The Telsa's crap, in my opinion.

If it doesn’t have a V8, manual transmission, and require 93 octane, then it is a gender-challenged toy suitable only for Euro-trash and American “elitists” sporting fanny packs. C’mon, oil is down to $117. The gas price crisis is so last week. Long live the muscle car.

Here’s a selection for someone with a pair of ‘em:

Shelby

Camaro

Challenger

Telsa, Tesla. Bah.

Everyone knows the pinnacle of automotive design was reached in 1959:

Following DHeddle's links above, I then clicked on the article Real car designers go Hot Wheels.  Number 5 is from Honda - a submission by Guillermo Gonzalez.  I guess the universe and the laws of physics are uniquely tuned to allow 1/64 scale fake cars to do loopty loops.

Jeffox,

Nice T34. Looks like you stripped it down for more streamlined fuel efficiency (no baggage(or boxage)). I would love to drive one of those. There is a very nice one in a museum in London UK. I forget the name of the place but it has a HUGE naval gun out front.

I am greener than your tank with envy.

TR - 6 with a date of Feb 1970.  Tall tires, with moderate grip, slides nicely around corners.  And, in a parking garage, rolling through in first gear sets off car alarms.  Also, a MGB GT from 74 (has the ugly big rubber overriders, but not the rubber bumpers).  Since the TR was never really meant to be weatherproof.

Both with knock off wire wheels.  Lug nuts are for pussies.

Of course, being one of those completely insane types, I would love to have one of these:

Classic english craziness, and prettier than the A/C thing that Carrol Shelby cobbled up.

Ah, the sixties were cool...

Irony: The "Tesla" runs a DC motor.

Shouldn't it be called the "Edison?"

OK, OK, I'm gonna try this.  This is a car thread, so I think it'll be all right.  We'll see.  Anyway, let me know what you think.

I have a blog.  I don't like to whore it out, but if one does a Google search for "Da fox hole" one never knows what one can find.  :)  All of you in here would be welcome to visit.  This is from my blog.

I build scale kits as a hobby.  This is a photo of a 1/6 scale 426 hemi engine that I built.  Looks wicked, I think.

Anyways, here:

OK, that didn't work.  At least not for me.  All I get is a big X.  Does it work for anybody else?  Any help here?  I figured this image would be a little large, but, evidently, it just doesn't want to go.

Oh well, I tried.  :)

OK, truth be told I just swiped that photo of the interwebs.  :)  Right now, the closest I can get to a T-34 is one owned by some guy in Cambridge, Minnesota; who, for $200 per person, will give you a ride in the dang thing!

I saw several of the T-34's variants while on my trip to Britain in May of 2003; including the SU-100 at Duxford and a very nice T-34/85 at Bovington.  I didn't get to the IWM in London.  I understand the guns are off of the U.S.S. Texas.  I did get to see H.M.S. Belfast up at Thames Pool.  Very nice, imo.

OK, we'll try it this way.  Here is a link to my blog-entry on the 426 hemi.  The photos are in the blog.

If you try to go to my blog, let me know if you were successful and what you think.  Thanks ahead of time.  Sorry for the confusion and/or distraction.

you realize that the engine you showed looked a little small to be real, right?

An engine over 5L should be huge, and cover more surface area than what is shown in your pics, especially given how the big three built/engineered big blocks back then!

Mea culpa, mea magna culpa.  I didn't read the post to figure out that the pics where a photo shoot of a kit.  Slap me with eldreberries.

On the flip side, I still think that the TR-6 was still a better mans car than any Challenger, Cuda, or Satellite.  :P
