Water is irreducibly complex. Remove the hydrogen, or the oxygen, and BAM you've just got gas. I AM A SIENSE MASTAR!!!!111

Hang on, what happens if you remove one of the hydrogens?

It’s a bit better than batshitcrazy77’s claim that glaciers were put on earth to produce soil so that humans could grow crops.

And the bar gets even lower. Joe is supporting him with his own brand of stupid.

Does Batshitcrazy77 realize that most of the pulverized rock produced by glaciation ends up in the oceans and lakes?

We know from experience that when an object, like a car, absorbs energy by crashing into another object, it suffers damage. If I want my car repaired, I don’t just let it sit and expect it to return to its original condition by itself. Rather, I take it to a body shop, where it will be restored by the skillful hands of trained technicians. And yet, when one of my desk’s atoms gets damaged from bumping into one of its neighbors, it quickly returns to its original condition, all on its own. This is very strange.

Equally strange is the phenomenon of the electrons’ “orbit.” Unlike the Earth, whose orbit is slowly spiraling toward the sun, the electrons in an atom are held in fixed regions....

The earth is not spiralling toward the sun you dumb creationist numbnuts.

Maybe not, but over billions of years the sun is growing slightly. Not to mention what it's expected to do in 4 or billion years from now. And all of that due to indigestion from the growing blob of He in its core, which it has no way to get rid of.

To understand what motivates people to commit genocide, you don’t need to brush up on the history of Hitler and Stalin.

Your neighbors are probably doing genocide, Ask them. If you’re in Boston, touch base with the Brigham and Womens’ Hospital. They’re leaders in genocides. Or ask people from Scandinavia. They’re the world’s top gurus genocide-wise.

What is genocide?
Its the deliberate killing off of a group of genetically distinctive people.

And that’s what modern society is doing with Downs Syndrome people. Killing them off before they can even breathe. You don’t need the SS or the KGB. you just go to Doctor.

iceland has eliminated them while the rest of Scandinavia is close behind. Our own United States of America kills off 70% of Downs Syndrome people. In the US the Constitution says they’re inferior, and being inferior its okay to kill them, according to Federal Judges.

Anyhow, what’s the motivation for Genocide? For Downs Syndrome people its cause they’re inconvenient.

Come on. Genocide is mundane. Its all around us. Yawn.

I know you don't give a shit, and neither should you, but apparently this schmuck was a health physicist for the TVA for 28 years, retiring in 2004. He's been a wingnut wordsmith for the past 10+ years. If one looks up Salvo magazine's partners in lies, it's a true rogues' gallery - also, the attack squirrel Casey Luskin is a "senior editor".

Well a biography suggesting his physics training was over 44 years ago does align with someone who's forgotten most of the physics. The earth is very slowly spiralling away from the sun, just as the moon is from the earth, for reasons of angular momentum and tidal forces.

If they are “persons” for the purposes of the law, do they then have the right to stand for election to the legislature which presumes to enact laws to which they are subject. Are they entitled to a say in such debates? Are they entitled to all the rights and freedoms to which human persons are entitled? Can they be used as slave labor or are they entitled to be paid a living wage and all the other benefits which are offered to workers in a free society?

No I don’t need to.

Moreover, I did not call people insane.

I, for the good reason that your worldview is in fact barking mad insane, called You and Allan and all other atheists insane for believing it.

I called YOU specifically a liar for, well, blatantly lying in the face of presented evidence, and then called you a jerk for being overly anally retentive on a point that is already made from at least two different angles now. And moreover, is a point I could care less if you personally accept or not.

I am more than satisfied that the unbiased reader can clearly see who is being fair with the evidence and who is being severely disingenuous with it (i.e being a jerk in common parlance)

*sniff*

No, no. You jsut don't get it. Allan and I are not people, so we can't be insane. We're not people because some atheists have made some comments about consciousness being an illusion, so therefore all atheists must think that consciousness is an illusion, regardless of what they actually think. It all makes perfect sense.

But then I'm a liar, so I would say that wouldn't I?

Christians themselves (at least those who are honest with their faith) claim that homosexuals should be castrated. Therefore, all christians must believe that homosexuals should be castrated. What gives you the right to force castration on homosexuals?

See, it is easy to tell others how they must think. It is much harder, and more mature, to accept that others honestly believe what they say and provide logic, reason and evidence to counter their opinions. It is the latter that I see lacking in your irrational hatred of atheists. All I see is an attempt to caricaturize atheists/materialists and thereby justify disregarding anything they have to say.

I call bull. A few people have made the remark about neuronal illusions. However many others see the situation differently. And this business about “honest with themselves” is all bull: who are you to tell someone that you know better, and more honestly, what they think than they do themselves? You may disagree with them – that’s fine – but the “honest with themselves” bit is arrogant bs.

It's only a matter of time before batshitcrazy77 goes running to the comfort of Barry's skirts. Or maybe Joe will jump in to defend batshitcrazy77's honour.

If you want to claim that you are a real person with real moral duties and responsibilities (i.e. with real free will), then you must adopt Theism as a coherent anchor for your worldview.

Once again, as usual, ba assumes that his definition of something (in this case, “real person”) is the definitive correct definition, and includes in his definition the very conclusions he wishes to assume follow from that definition.

This is circular reasoning that insulates him completely from from having a rational discussion with someone who holds a different view.
