Shit, Joe's not even flunking 20th century chemistry here, he's flunking Late-19th century chemistry. |
Wow, devastating. CO2 does not trap the heat. IR makes it vibrate and unless all of the CO2 is pointing the right way such that the vibration sends the re-radiated heat back to earth there isn't any trapping. There isn't even enough in the atmosphere to trap the heat. |
Holy Fucking Shit that is dumb.
Heat IS vibration of molecules you fantastic dolt. IR is among the ranges in the electromagnetic spectrum that causes vibrations of certain chemical bonds, such as the C=O bond in CO2.
Infrared Spectroscopy
This is high-school level physical/chem stuff for fucks sake. |
If frequency = wavelength, probabilities can be not even zero, and no physicist understands how orbits work, I don't see why heat can be something other than molecular vibration. All hail Joescience! |
So frequency which is interchangeable with vibration now has direction!!!!
Thus wavelength is interchangeable with radiation direction.
