kf, I can’t even imagine trying to parse, much less respond to, that huge mishmash of a paragraph. It’s like one remark from me unleashed a barrage of every overused apocalyptic, hyperbolic meme in your arsenal. That is no way to have a discussion with anyone, I don’t think.

Where then, have we seen policy, law, courts, administration and more reflecting the self-referential incoherence, subjectivism, relativism, ideological agendas, pressure group agit prop and media shadow-show games coming from that have led to amorality, nihilism and the ongoing worst holocaust in history (of our posterity: 800+ millions in 40+ y and mounting at 1 mn/wk)? The implied imposition of might and manipulation make ‘right,’ ‘truth,’ ‘knowledge,’ ‘justice,’ ‘rights,’ ‘law’ etc? The resulting ongoing stereotyping, strawmannising, bigoted scapegoating and targetting of ethical theists in the Judaeo-Christian tradition?

WTF?
Why do you insist on bringing abortion into every debate? Are you incapable of keeping on subject.?

But since you asked “Where then, have we seen policy, law, courts, administration and more reflecting the self-referential incoherence, subjectivism, relativism, ideological agendas, pressure group agit prop and media shadow-show games…blah, blah, blah”. Might I answer, who was responsible for the crusades, inquisition, forced conversions, hundreds of civil wars, hatred driven propaganda, residential schools, the jailing and execution of people for blasphemy, the jailing and execution of people for homosexuality, and a host of other atrocities? Christians were persecuted for the first few hundred years of their religion and have been playing the martyr card ever since. Atheists have a far longer history of being persecuted but you don’t hear us complaining about it.

The rest of your comment, gibberish, just like the first part. If you want to discuss issues openly and honestly, you would be well advised to tone down your sermonizing, patronizing and arrogant attitude.

Do you really think that if we acknowledged the sanctity of life that we would so cavalierly act towards posterity in the womb?

Leaving aside the ridiculous “posterity in the womb” BS, you still have not addressed your hypocrisy in this. Let me repeat it in case you have conveniently forgotten.

If the early term fetus has the same right to life as you and I, why would you refuse to impose first degree murder and minimum penalty if a woman is found guilt of having an abortion? It is a very simple question. Why do you keep avoiding it? I can only perceive of two reasons:

1) you really don’t believe that the early term fetus has the same right to life afforded to you and I; or,
2) you don’t believe that a woman has the same intellectual and emotional stability as you and I to be culpable of understanding what she is doing when she has an abortion.

Your options are hypocrisy or misogyny. If you have a third option, I would love to hear it.

What makes people like Sal tick? To me it looks like he is doing his best to find a way that doesn't exist. I wrote him off many years ago.

ETA: I can't say why I found the reason to mention Sal here, must be something I read while raiding the web.

I've seen him at TSZ. No idea what drives him. Denial and arrogance?

TSZ had some interesting discussions in the beginning, but now it's mostly tedious philosophical arguments with three or four halfwits. I haven't found it interesting lately.

I agree. Then why did you bring up the subject of abortion?

But, I have noticed that when there is a question that you don’t want to answer that you simply accuse the questioner of being a troll. If you want me to stop asking you about your ridiculous abortion-holocaust conflation, simply provide me with a rational argument as to why the woman should not be charged with first degree murder. As I mentioned above, the only two reasons that I have been able to come up with are hipocrysy or misogyny. If you have a rationale that does not require one of these, I would be glad to hear it.

Just this "strawmannising" is that not a werd?

OK.

So torturising, obliteratingisation or blosformagationization  may only count as supersymetrical non existant bloviationings in KF's preinitiated body and untransformed mind.

However, in his cave with the flushed dead and postumely chained featal suplicants he continues to tug back to the world above of the Christian faithful with their discarded and buried umbilical cords.

Life is leaving KF behind in it's bloody wake.

ID is too science!  It's not a crude attempt to get religion into public-school classrooms.  How can you suggest such a thing?

That's why attacking God and Christian values is an anti-ID tactic.

I've been reading his posts since the days of ARN.  Ten or fifteen years, probably.  In all that time, I've seen one (1) post of his that wasn't a complete waste of time.  I think it was reprinted on TSZ recently.

In it, he posted his version of some kind of evolution program that was written in a language I'd never seen before.  The only interesting thing about the message was that the programming language looked rather interesting.  He admitted that the logic purposely did not correctly describe the problem it was directed to.  Complete waste of time.

The only thing Mung can say in his defense is that he's not as bad as Sal.  Their messages are the equivalent of spitting on the sidewalk except they both think they're being clever.  And don't get me started on JoeG.

Just read this. For some reason it made me think of UD.

Based on the article one has to conclude that UD is run by deep socks and Gordon E. Mullings is its deepest:

Quote
sock puppets contribute poorer quality content,

Quote
writing shorter posts

Quote
that are often downvoted or reported by other users.

Quote
They post on more controversial topics

Quote
spend more time replying to other users

Quote
and are more abusive.

Quote
Worryingly, their posts are also more likely to be read

Quote
and they are often central to their communities,

Quote
generating a lot of activity.

Writing longer ignored posts, claiming his arguments are the center of ID and pretending activity by commenting on his own posts is just the camouflage for Gordon's Kairosfocus sock puppet. And I must say that there are not many socks who contributed more to ridicule and ruin UD and ID.
Well done, Gordon.

Followed by the usual KF rhetoric and talking points, none of which have answered the question that I have repeatedly asked. Let me repeat:

If the fetus from conception on has the same right to
life as you and I, why should women who have abortions not be charged with first degree murder?

Is it because of hipocrysy, misogyny, or some other justification that I am not aware of? As a rule of thumb, when you can’t answer a simple question, the intelligent thing to do is question your view point.

The repetition of an already adequately answered objection is typical trollish behaviour.

Is it trollish behaviour when I respond to an OP written by you that completely misrepresents what I have said? You must be using s different dictionary than mine.
Quote

Onlookers wishing to ponder are directed to the example of Wilberforce, …

I have repeatedly addressed this and you have repeatedly ignored my comments, choosing to attack my character instead. Here, let me repeat what I have said:

Wilberforce was instrumental in abolishing slavery. But it also required the bloodiest few years in US history to actually end it. Wilberforce and his act did not end the slave trade. It continued for some time after the act, with captains preferring to toss slaves overboard rather than pay the fine. What ended the slave trade was ending the demand for slavery (US civil war). It is ending the demand for abortion that I have been arguing for, and for which I have provided real life relevant examples.

All you have offered is Wilberforce. An irrelevant example in this case. But even Wilberforce was in favour of charging slavers after the act was passed. Something that you, for some strange reason, are unwilling to do to women after you have made abortions illegal. You present an irrelevant example but refuse to follow it through to its logical. conclusion. Frankly, I am baffled.

Referencing Wilberforce in this respect has no value as he supported the charging of those breaking the slave trade laws. As there was never a penalty associated with the slave trade, it made sense that they had to develop charges and penalties from scratch. But we already have charges and penalties on the books for the premeditated killing of a human being. Not using existing laws to prosecute women who have abortions is either hipocrysy (consciously or subconsciously acknowledging that the fetus does not have the same right to life as you or I) or misogyny (believing that women are intellectually and/or emotionally incapable of making informed decisions). I would love to think that there is a third option, but I am skeptical.

I spend zero time going to atheist sites. They are absolutely meaningless to me. Heard (and refuted) all their arguments at least a hundred times.

Atheists, on the other hand, can’t seem to stop themselves from frequenting theism sites and posting comments, even taking the time to engage in long discussion threads.

That is fascinating to me.

I have zero desire to visit atheist websites, let alone post comments and engage in long discussions.

why...it's almost like he's saying UD is a theist site. I thought ID was just science, not religion?
