OK I'll tally at lunch and post the results.

Last chance to vote!  I will make an effort to scan this thread and compile responses of those WHO DID NOT FOLLOW THE RULES lololol

I received 29 replies, including a few here and there that I ferreted out of the thread.

Unfortunately, there was a tie.  I have chosen to break this tie by casting my vote for AFDave.

AFDave-  6 votes

Several of you provided hilarious reasons for why you consider AFDave the top tard OF.ALL.TIME. but this one was such a fantastic summary that I included it en toto.

Quote
I have to nominate AFDave. Dave has so many qualities that rank him so much higher than yer snarling, snivelling Joes, Dembski's voguing in a white-coat, the apoplectic psychopathy of Gordo, or the chest-pounding, belly-quaking bar-room bluster of DaveTard. Densye is simply dull, even with her occasionally sig-worthy inanities.

Dave, on the other hand, is unfailingly cheerful and enthusiastic in presenting his argument. He has read his Trusted Sources, and he knows they're Right. He presents us with this path to enlightenment confident that, misguided as we are, we must be persuaded by the impeccably sourced and acutely argued case he makes.
When his opponents and adversaries point out the sundry flaws, omissions and gullible-isn't-in-the-dictionary class howlers, Dave always obliges with the Maginot Line response: miles of elaborately constructed, impregnable defences focused on a point entirely remote from where the attack came from.

No statement is so spherically wrong that Dave will not defend it to the last. No quote-mine is so egregious that Dave will fail to point out that it uses precisely the same alphabet as the original. Every accusation of stealing cookies will be denounced with a crescendo of denial and a spray of crumbs. The game will continue for pages, for weeks, but not once will Dave fail to defend The Truth and the unimpeachable accuracy and sagacity of his Authoritative Sources.

What truly distinguishes Dave from other creotards is the unbridled enthusiasm with which he will launch one fractally stupid argument after another, all in the cause of The Truth. Daniel steps into the lions' den, clad in his armour of bacon. Dave has found his divine calling, and it is us.

ahhhh, yes, the good old days back when the tard was liquid

Next up is Gordon E. Mullings, the child pornography collector, white knight of the internet, protector of the constitution of carribean rocks, loquacious twat, unethical liar for jesus.  5 votes

Joe loses points for being boring.  Batshit77 loses more points for being more boring.

I voted for afdave as the best all-round entertainer - stupidity, arrogance and a near-terminal case of Dunning-Kruger on all subjects.

Honorable mentions: Byers and Gordon.

Was this poll the post-mortem on UD?*

They can't seem to get posts up on the front page (or they like it that way) and the only post in the RSS feed for the last few days at first glance looks like KF is schooling the others on TV repair.

*No, I don't think it will go away. But it is dead. Has been for a while, but keeps coming back like some stinking undying zombie corpse, and a little worse off each time. Admit that we're just watching to see what miserable freak-show will pop up next?

A poll on (dear-god what is that thing) what the next incarnation will be?

This is one of his current favorites. I thought functional artificial ribosomes had been synthesised, but it doesn't matter either way. It hardly points to a missing magic ingredient - and certainly not capital-D-Design as that ingredient - if you can't. You just haven't got one of the functional points in sequence space yet.

Well obviously AF Dave is the Tard de la Tard who epitomises the raison d'ętre d'tard.

Missing in action for some time but not forgotten for an heroic, if not uplifting performance.

His one on one, carefully calibrated blind onanisme was something to behold

He in'souciantly broke every ethical pillar available to ID.

Even Dembski retains more credibility than AF Dave but separated only by one place by the Meglomaniac from Monserrat GOOOOOOORDON MULLINNGSSSSSSSSSSS!

<insert canned clapping>

That still makes Dembski the most disappointing tard this season.

Could we expect more?

Is it the coaches, the draft or the development squad?

Where are the angels?

Where the fuck is that useless cunt GOD?

I'm guessing after much navel gazing the next season will see the usual round; Of the blind leading the blind, the money changers doing well and the sick, poor and destitute no better off.

Let's hear a big cheer for ID, bringing values free Xtianity to a store near you!

Depends on what you mean by artificial.  [Curious how it always comes back to semantics with Jo-Jo.]

Anyway, if one means artificial as 'never before appearing on the Earth', then yes, it has been done.  I'll have to look up the reference.

If one means that a human assembled an RNA from scratch, by placing the nucleotides in order one at a time, then no it hasn't been done.  Why would that even be a requirement?  Has Jo-Jo ever built a car from parts?  And I mean parts here, no already assembled components like water pumps and alternators.

So, if Jo-Jo can't build a functioning car from parts, then the claim is that unless cars are built in a factory, they don't work?

Somewhere there's a description of the steps required to make a pencil. No one can make a pencil, nor does anyone know how.

http://www.econlib.org/library....l1.html

I notice the pencil essay has some political baggage, but history ties the idea of evolution to Adam Smith and his invisible hand. For whatever reason, Darwinian thinking produces strange kinds of compartmentalization.

which tard, IN YOUR OPINION, is the most likely to have a glenn morton moment?

which one, of the same pool of tards we just considered, would you be least surprised to see stand up and say [paraphrase] "I was wrong, creationism is retarded and I don't believe it anymore".

Please PM me your answer I have to dump all my inbox first though LOL

I will tally the votes some time depending on the rate at which they accumulate

I think it would be most awesomest if we did not advocate for particular tards here in this open thread.  Just to keep it free of that loathsome taint.

Dembski is amusing not for anything he says but for the contrast between credentials and performance. That's really what holds my attention.

AFDave (as Dave Hawkins) has recently been infesting TalkRational.

His latest thing is that he can feed 9 billion people with mob-stocking grass-fed beef, (never mind those that won't eat beef for religious/cultural reasons) grass-fed milk, and honey (which cures everything, apparently)

In spite of sterling efforts by TalkRats, he denies utterly that ~ 75% of the world population is lactose intolerant - 'cos that's genetic, that is, and genetics is not Godly.

He now regards himself as an agricultural expert (he has 4 horses. a cow and a calf - a pretty cheap and measly effort for one who describes himself as a millionaire) ) and is doing the rounds of the Prophets of Sustainable Farming  - All you Need is Woodchips and Bullshit.

He took umbrage at Talkrats asking for facts and figures about his plan to feed the world (and asking why grass-fed milk wouldn't affect lactose intolerant people), and flounced off - I think to infest some forum where organic gardeners go

Pull the other one.  The next thing you'll be telling me is that you watched all of the videos in a typical bornagain77 post.
