that whole "in order to simulate x the computer needs to be experiencing x" is the stupidest thing to ever emerge from UD. If it were true, if you wanted to model a lava flow, you'd have to throw the computer into a volcano.

i'm having one of those days where I just can't take the tard. I think it's because I'm training more and I haven't had a drink or a cigarette since last friday. (Grrrr) But I woke up this morning and checked Ed Brayton's site, and it was like being punched in the head.

and then I came over here and read a couple excerpts from UD and after a few short minutes I couldn't go on and I closed out the tab. I went and read some non-tardulent websites, like BoingBoing, and MSNBC, and Kevin Drum, and those felt good. Went outside and caught up on last month's New Yorkers. I just couldn't take the tard. One's constitution has to be properly fortified to withstand that kind of corrosive material. With no cigs or booze I'm in a weakened state. I couldn't take it.

Seems like. However, I have the feeling that global tard is limited because while tard is currently concentrating at UD tard increase at OE came to a standstill recently.

I still can log in to comment in some other threads but if I try to comment on D'OL's latest I am again and again re-directed to the UD login page and the comment window doesn't open.

During the week I've been living on, basically, chicken cesar salad with croutons, and stir fry veggies with soy sauce and some chicken thrown in. No booze, no cigs. Sadly, such sacrifices are required to go from good shape to really good shape. Fortunately my Fridays and Saturdays are All Bets Are Off days, so you can bet that about 12 or so hrs from now I'll be at the gas station for some smokes and then the package store for Teh Cleer Liqiuds!!!!!!!!!1111111 So i should be able to handle the straight up tard by tomorrow night or so. Meantime, man, this is rough. I've been a little snippy with the tutoring clients and the UD has been way, way too radioactive to go near in my weakened condition. I'll be nice and inoculated by tomorrow night, and can go check out UD without risk of aneurysm.
