Talk about stroking your own ego.

...

As of my post there are 36 comments.  Twenty-three (23) are from DaveScot but only ten (10) are in reply to other commenters.

That means DS is his own best commenter adding information to his own post so he can answer his own questions with his own insights.

It's lonely at the top.

You really do get the sense that he believes he's just about to single-handedly expose that Global Warming as a total and utter hoax.

For all the billions of dollars spent by scientists over the past two decades, the endless hours of data collection, the countless late nights spent analyzing the terabyte-sized data sets, the hundreds of peer reviewed papers pored over by hundreds more scientists for weeks at a time, it is he, Dave Scot Springer, having spent a mere few hours sitting in front of his computer in his underpants squinting at a couple of charts he's unearthed through his mad, autodidactic Googling skills, who is the one person to have finally divined the truth about global warming.

I can almost see it now.  William Dembski proudly bestowing the Nobel Prize for Physics upon his faithful former acolyte, with DaveScot whispering graciously to old Bill that he is welcome to contribute to his new blog, "Dave Scot Springer Was Right All Along, You Tards!" any time.

Sometimes I suspect that Dell stock options were the worst thing that ever happened to that man.

Mike : "teh" is kinda like "pwns" instead of "owns" or "evah" for "ever"
"Many words originally derived from Leet slang have now become part of the modern Internet slang, such as "pwned". The primary driving force of new vocabulary in Leet is the need to describe new phenomena. Another force is common misspelling and mistyping such as "teh", and intentional misspellings, especially the "z" at the end of words (“skillz”). " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet Ack! Also this bit : "teh is used as an intensifier for both adjectives and verbs, as in "He is teh lame" and "This is teh suck."

Pwned comes from CS 1.3 / 1.4 when the P90, sorry, teh P90 was introduced and was horribly unbalanced versus teh rest of teh weapons making ownage pwnage with one over powered gun.

Wikipaste -- "The term "llama" has become popular amongst Internet denizens; especially gamers. Generally used as a derogatory title, a llama is usually a newbie or a person that does not play the game very well and is frequently used synonymously with the term lamer (both expressions sounding similar or identical in English). Most prevalent among games that are played simultaneously by many people online, such as team games, a llama will invariably detract from the gaming experience of others due to his own ignorance or intentional disruption. The term llama was adopted by the earliest of online gamers being a frequent insult used among Quake players and Quake teams (known as a Clan)."

After lurking for over a year, I am finally compelled to decloak because of a gaming reference.  So, while I am standing in the open...

Thank you all.  I have found that viewing the tard secondhand from a minimum safe distance (with bonus mockery) is much better for my mental health that taking it directly.  I wrote a couple posts over there early last year and either hit a banning lull or am just too inoffensive.  I hang my head for the shame of not being banworthy in the eyes of the most triggerhappy cheesypoof slayer this side of the funnyfarm.

Addendum: DaveScot provides a link to my comment here.
Quote
Peanut gallery contributor Zach posts a link to an article by Hansen which concludes the earth is absorbing 0.85 +- 0.15w/m^2 more energy than it is radiating back out into space.

Not just "an article", but "the article" that DaveScot cited. According to Hansen's research, whom DaveScot references as a basis for his argument, "human-made gases are the dominant cause of observed warming". This indicates that 1. The earth is observed to be warming. 2. That humans are the main reason why the Earth is warming. Also, Hansen determined that there is a "likelihood of acceleration of ice sheet disintegration and sea level rise".

DaveScot
Quote
So where is all that excess 0.85w/m^2 going? It’s going to turn ice at 0 degrees C into water at 0 degrees C and after that it can drive evaporation turning warm water into warm water vapor, all the while not driving up the temperature of the earth as a whole because the energy is simply being stored as chemical and kinetic energy.

And the ice is melting, too. I'm so glad that's settled.

I attached this Addendum to my original comment.

If this was where all that excess energy was being stored what would the symptoms look like, Zach?

A.  A period of abnormally and persistently elevated, expansive, or irritable mood.

B.  During the period of mood disturbance, three (or more) of the following symptoms are present:

- inflated self-esteem or grandiosity
- decreased need for sleep
- more talkative than usual or pressure to keep talking
- flight of ideas or subjective experience that thoughts are racing
- distractability (i.e., attention too easily drawn to unimportant or irrelevant external stimuli)
- increase in goal-directed activity (either socially, at work or school, or sexually)
- excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences.

Those would be the symptoms.

The ID nobody ever posts or cares anymore blog

and

Exciting times.. Tard pleasures to be had even after the death of ID!

After a good laugh I just had at OE, I have to agree with that. I'm glad I'm not the moderator at UD/OE. They are swamped in fakes, and no way to tell which is which.

Dave

I am afraid I am not prepared to conduct a discussion where my replies are queued up and may or may not be posted some unpredictable time in the future depending on your decision. Also where other contributors who make polite and relevant points are dropped because you decide they are bluffing or whatever.

Should you want to continue the discussion on Alan Fox’s blog I understand the offer is still open. If I get time this evening I will try to post some comments on his blog - but, to be honest, your are in far more expert hands than mine on Real Climate and Climate Audit.

Cheers

Should you want to continue the discussion on Alan Fox’s blog

Fox’s blog has no google rank. I prefer that when I write on certain subjects it gets indexed on google with a high ranking. Because of Alan’s anything-goes-as-long-you-don’t-cuss policy his threads inevitably turn into all heat and no light insult fests when there’s any disagreement. If I want to trade insults and avoid having it show up on google searches I’ll be sure to come over to Alan’s blog to do it, ok?

P.S. I want to keep this comment thread on topic so this response and yours will both be disappearing soon. Don’t freak out when it does.

Ah, teh Google must be fed. Giver, teacher, secret lover...

So the measure of successful blogging in DS's mind (and therefore WAD) is to trigger a high Google Index rating.

I wonder if this is an Ahmenson requirement for continued funding.
(otherwise their "blogging" turns to "flogging"  hahahaha.  I made a funny)

Is this the new measure of ID?
We already knew the PR campaign is their only reason for existance.  More little gems like this slip out and an investigator (ID trained of course) will piece together their entire MO and find the new "wedge" attempt hidden in the hints.

Keep calling DS on his BS (hahaha, I kill me) and more Frued slips are sure to show.
