As a matter of interest, do you reckon it would be best to ignore it completely, so that it withers and dies, or rather, joins the back scratching set up that are the pro-Id blogs?

Or should scores of people join and put his no censorship proclamation to the test?

I quite liked some of those "quotes". Made me laugh.

Actually, what would be necessary is that large numbers of the bees and flowers possessing the corresponding beneficial mutations would miraculously have to simultaneously appear in the same place, because a single bee visits many flowers, and each flower is visited by many bees.

I'm composing a comment there right now (the real history of his banning).  I will be responding (over time) to his list of 19 excuses why Judge Jones's decision should be ignored.  It should be amusing.

Sorry, it's 18 excuses, not 19.  Though I'm sure he'll continue artificially inflating the number.

Dang, I was hoping he had claimed it 19 and then only posted 18, just because one of his favorite misunderstands was the three rulings, one ruling thing.

Well, if I ever get the time, I know I'm going over there. His "summary" of his experiences over at P's Thumb is complete nonsense. While I may not agree with ya'll on a lot of things, you do give a guy a chance to make his case, and I appreciate that. What gives him the right to pollute one of the last bastions of free expression? And then whine like a teenage girl with her cellphone privileges cut off.....

He has a thread in which he talks about why he thinks he got banned.  So far, it's the only one anyone has responded to (not including his test post).  Your perspective as stated would be appreciated, GoP.

BTW, did you ever look at my revised posting regarding the vibrating shell theory?  It's the third post down onthe last page of the LUCA thread.  Just curious if you had any objections or clarifications.

Yeah, I'm way behind on that. I'll try to respond when I can. I got sucked into the gay debate like a rookie, and then I've got "Ripper" Brazeau to deal with.....

Hmmm... Could Larry's blog provide a new safe haven for disaffected refugees from UD?

For example, can we expect, say, Josh Bozeman to start hanging around there?

I get a chuckle out of the fact that Davetard has banned more people in a single day than PT & AtBC have banned in 2 years.

That is precicely what I had in mind. I'm sorry I have been busy over the last few days. I notice he thought that my post was simply a personal attack on him. It was in fact a far more general comment than he interpreted it as. Kevin, well done. Very civil. I think his blog would be a good place to post definitive answers to his objections. Then we could simply point people who use his arguments to his blog.

Thanks, BWE.  Really, I felt somewhat awkward posting my definitive refutations to his 12 now 18 objections where he might be banned.  It's a relief to have a place that he can respond freely.  Question.  Do people want me to cc my responses (I'll be crafting them one at a time) to this thread, or should I just link when I make a new argument?  It will take a while to get them all done, especially since I'm a Detroit sports fan (both my basketball and hockey teams have the best record in their respetive leagues and the playoffs start this weekend).

I think links are appropriate so PT or AtBC posters can add their comments too. If it's particularly funny, or if the wind is blowing a certain way or if you feel like it I guess you should post your responses here. I think Larry is a sort of topic in and of himself anyway. This might be interesting if it catches on. A creationist websight where rational people can post. :D

Kevin (or can I call you W.?) - in the interests of irony, you should post under a different name each time.

WKV: Very nicely done history of the Ballad of Larry Fafarman at the PT Corral -- that's exactly how I remember it all happening. I don't think LareTard will ban you, but his response is amazingly boneheaded. I think the part I'm most impressed with is his assertions that he basically had 'the right' to post under other people's names because he'd been banned. Kind of analogous to saying one has the 'right' to shoot a policeman because he was trying to arrest you...

Ooh, yeah, and post under the name of a different Confederate general everytime, like Larry did. Or maybe even better: post under the name of a UNION general every time. That should bug Larry, since he's a big Confederate apologist!

NOTICE -- I just made a major addition to my original post: I added another item to my list, item #19. I also made two minor significant additions: (1) on item #18, I mentioned the amicus brief submitted by 85 scientists; and (2) I added a sentence to the end of item #3.

Whenever I make significant changes in my posts, I will leave notice in the comment section.

Someone with a martyr complex.

Hey, Wesley, perhaps you could clear things up for us.  What actions did the admin take on Jan 26 when four commenters (thordaddy, M, Larry, and pro from dover) were found to be using the same IP address?  We know that Rule 6 was enforced on the address itself (at least temporarily), but did any of the four actually get banned, and how did the bans (if any) get enforced?  Basically, we're trying to figure out why Larry that he was personally banned.  And your emphasis on the word "believe" tells me there's more to the story than what I can research independently.

What effect did the revelation that the IP address was a major AOL gateway have on the actions taken?

This may delve into proprietary and private information, so I understand if you can't answer.
