Just out of curiosity, you ever find the name of a glacier that's larger today than it was 10 years ago?

I told you, "a number of glaciers in Norway and Alaska are growing larger."

All i hear here is about the receding glaciers here in Norway, what's your source?

Yes, the whole point was that the goof ball can't actually name a glacier that's growing.  Alaska or Norway... Largest state in the US... maybe a little more specificity.

I've already done the research.

For example here: http://www.skepticalscience.com/himalay....ate.htm

From 1946-2005 228 glaciers world wide have been monitored.  Of those, the vast majority are shrinking (77% in 2002 and 94% in 2003).

Indeed, if you look at the link, it actually names the glaciers that are increasing in size. Shockingly, none of them are in Alaska.

So, our current troll is both lazy and ignorant.  Which was my entire point in asking the question.

Wow, you're lazy.

And the original source is Anthony Watts... a person who took money from the Heartland Institute, then lied about and has publicly declared "I'm prepared to accept whatever result they produce, even if it proves my premise wrong."

Nd then, when Mueller's work cause Mueller to accept AGW, Watts

backed off his position, saying the study is of no value because its parts have not been peer reviewed, "When the science and peer review is finished, the results are likely to look different." Watts said that much of the BEST data should be thrown out, "...there is no adjustment procedure in place to fix this, [...] BEST tries to solve it, and I applaud them for the attempt. Can you read?  I did check and my data goes back almost 7 decades with over 200 glaciers.

You couldn't even name one. Just "somewhere in Alaska" maybe (in 2005) there was a glacier that was bigger then than it was 10 years ago.

Whatever.

Just run along and go play.  There are adults talking.

6,000 ANTHROPOLOGISTS NOW DEAD.
=================
Thrinaxodon and others came with guns to kill the wily anthropologists
that were brainwashing people around the world. The anthropologists
came up with their guns, and shot AsfHlu Gofnin; the most powerful
person on OUR SIDE.
Eventually, it ended up with Thrinaxodon burning their supposed
"specimens", and shoving the Devonian finds up their asses.

They died with the burnings; and then Thrinaxdon's findings were taken
to a medical lab, where they were shown to be a 100% humanoid.

THEY WERE NOT NORMAL ROCKS. THESE WERE FOSSILIZED BONES. THEY EVEN HAD
TOOTH MARKS ON THEM. SO, THRINAXODON BROUGHT THEM TO THE LEAKEY
FOUNDATION, THEY UTTERLY DISMISSED IT, AND SAID, "We want to keep
people thinking that humans evolved 2 Ma." THRINAXODON BROUGHT HIS
SWORD, AND SAID, "SCIENCE CORRECTS ITSELF." RICHARD LEAKEY SAID, "That

Watts is a college dropout.  In other words, his highest academic accomplishment is a high school diploma.

His only claim to relevance is the fact that he used to read weather reports on TV.  He is not and never has been a meteorologist, much less a "climate researcher".

Among other things, he has demonstrated time and time again that he doesn't understand junior high school algebra much less any higher maths such as high school trigonometry.

He also doesn't understand chemistry or physics at even the most lay of layman levels.

Just today, an example of Watts not understanding junior high school algebra!

(or elementary school math, take your pick)

Quote
He compares the NCDC result to the UAH TLT (lower troposphere) temperature, mentioning that the UAH value is only 0.07 while the NCDC value is 0.66 — big difference! But this quite ignores the fact that the UAH TLT data and the NCDC data use a different baseline, i.e. a different zero point.

Watts always seems unable to understand that the slope of a line is, for a given baseline ...

(t1 - b) - (t2 - b)/time

so b (baseline) falls out.  He's been told this over and over and over again, and here, more or less a decade or more later, he still doesn't get it.

I mean, really, you'd have to whack James Joyce upside the head with a two by four after giving him a massive dose of LSD to get anything to compete with Gary's effluent.

LOL. Reminds me of a David Foster Wallace comment that for some reason I can't seem to track down. "Everyone says Agassi's shots look like Bjorn Borg's. But they don't. They look like what Borg's would have looked like if Borg had spent a year on a regimen of Steroids and Crystal Meth."

THE BASTARDS AT THE SMITHSONIAN, AND THE LEAKEY FOUNDATION ARE ERODING
WITH FEAR.

When Thrinaxodon heard they were in prison, he went bananas.
He told the Agents that they believed in Darwinism, and were
indoctrinating the students.

He was interviewed by Paula Zahna of had this to say:

"I..I...I...Can't believe it. This completely disproved Darwinian
orthodoxy."

"Watts is a climate researcher. It is true. Doubt it if you want, but at least check it, moron."

This is your galileo ...

[...]

<moron.>

Fuck you.

Watts is a climate researcher. He correctly pointed out that, since glaciers are growing, it contradicts AGW.

Do we have to do this again?  Oh yeah, to a moronic troll, we do.

1) The vast majority of glaciers are shrinking not growing.  Therefore, by your own 'logic' global warming is happening.

Even so, it's still shoddy logic because

2) Weather does NOT equal climate.

It snowed in Austin two years ago.  Does that mean global warming isn't happening?  Of course not, because that same year was the warmest year on record.

And, of the 10 warmest years on record, 9 of them happen between 2000 and present.

And I love you're little "skeptical science" website's report that 1934 was the warmest year on record.  It just proves that you have no idea how to read climate data.

Using a 5-year moving average, then 1934 had a very large ANOMALY. Because it was much warmer than the previous 5 years before it.

That's why I don't look at anomaly's but instead the actual temperatures, in which we discover that 1934 wasn't even close to the warmest year on record.

But you either knew that and are lying to protect your wishes or you are an utter moron who has no business in this discussion because you can't tell the difference between the actual temperature and the temperature difference between this year and the last.

If you see his posts @ UseNet, that`ll be sure to knock you. He`s comparable to Ed Conrad, though Thrinaxodon and Conrad have said they're not each other.
