Welcome to Summer everyone.

Any special plans?  Vacations?  Punking and/or poking the ID / DI monkeys?

My plans:  A Barb-B Que Rib-Fest Trip to MO / KC to visit my oldest son at Mizzou, and Midland MI to visit my daughter, busy doing chemistry stuff for Dow.

Remember:  As always, Special Bonus Points for Making Dembski and/or Behe cry.

We're going to Scotland, where we will meet Louis for dinner somewhere near Edinburgh, and take him and Professor Steve Steve to visit Hutton's Uncomformity at Siccar Point. Thus we will have graduated from Darwin worship to the idolatry of an even more ancient deity, James Hutton.

I was going to do the July 13 Triathlon in Raleigh but I'm not quite where I need to be with the training. It would take me about 2 hrs. If I wait til August I should be down around 1hr 45 mins.

Well, I keep promising y'all an online index, so's you don't have to page through the Uncommonly Dense thread saying, "Where is it that Rich says, 'Zounds!'"

(I'm really fun in real life.)

Maybe we'll go to Bryce Canyon.

Ha!  No problem!  Just tell them it's an ID Dissertation, and submit a blank report - then scream persecution when you don't get the PhD and/or Tenure.

I was planning on attending TAM, but that went down in flames.  That was pretty much going to be the highlight of the summer for me.

Heading out at the end of next week for a few days in the Blue Ridge with my grandkids. He’s 6 and she’s 3. I plan on doing everything in my power to teach them counter to the Wedge Strategy by:

1) Not replacing materialistic explanations with the theistic understanding that nature and
human beings are created by God.

2) That ten states have not begun to rectify ideological imbalance in their science curricula by including creationist arguments against evolution, nor have they included design guessing in their classrooms.

And

3) Design has not become a concept in the social sciences legal reform movements base legislative proposals on design theory, which sounds eerily like lawyers could legally argue that Satan made his/her client do it a justifiable defense for acquittal of any crime.

Then we’ll roast marshmallows.

Ah, Philmont!  2003 and 2005 went there I did.  Learned the meaning of the word "up."

This summer I'm going to learn how to edit with Final Cut Express.  Hollywood, here I come.

I just came of a fishing boat. Slow day. There was a fellow next to me who had a lure he had never used. I gave him som coaching and he caught a 12lb halibut. I had two good fish on, but lost them both. I ended up with just 2 bass ~2 lbs each.

Monday will be better.
