Quote (Dr.GH @ Mar. 15 2017,13:03)

US abortion rate is lower than it was before Roe v Wade.

How dare you give Gordo any good news that doesn't correspond with what he wants to complain about.

Quote
AJ, the side-tracking and refusal to face consciences benumbed in the context of the ongoing worst holocaust in history continue; where amelioration of holocaust is another word for continuation of holocaust under false colours of moderation. As for history/facts, you appear to be utterly unaware of and unwilling to face the tellingly parallel case of Wilberforce and the contrasting track records of radical revolution and reformation rooted in prophetic, visionary intellectual and cultural leadership — exactly what that case is all about. G’day. KF

Translation: I don't want to hear about concrete actions that can be taken to significantly reduce the abortion rate without making abortion illegal. I won't be happy until I am laying Mr.Leathers on some jailed women and doctors.

Pindi and AJ keep hammering KF, If you really think abortion is equivalent to murdering children, how can you stand by and watch it happen?

I question the wisdom of attempting to convince someone who has already demonstrated a tenuous grasp of reality to take action to "protect" the unborn.  Mr. Leathers may not be Gordon's only fetish object.

Nothing to worry about if you're thinking of firearms since the laws there are very restrictive. Voodoo dolls on the other hand are freely available. There is nothing to prevent the concealed carrying of an automatic stapler with multiple voodoo dolls.

I could see KF getting a little shabby with the right provocation.

If he wants to prevent abortions, all he has to do is stand in the lobby of the abortion clinic and talk to the women. Any normal woman would rather go through the pains of childbirth rather than listen to that arrogant pontificating fool.

Heh. However KF shows in that thread that he doesn't want to go down to any abortion clinics any more than he wants to advocate sex education or for more freely available contraception. He doesn't seem to endorse any concrete action, other than to make the world read his tedious screeds, which will cause everyone will reflect - soberly of course - on the issues and come around to his way of thinking. Or, more succinctly, he just wants to bellyache about how the world refuses to conform to his puritanism.

KF:AJ, you are already off on tangents. I simply point out that Wilberforce is the pivotal, key example of a reformer in the modern world.

Quote
Are you serious. Wilberforce died in 1833. Almost two centuries ago. Over six generations ago. How old are you? There is nothing modern about him. How does he reflect anything in the modern world? Although, to give you credit, he is more modern than Plato.

Thank you for inadvertently showing us by live example just how eaten out our civilisation’s moral reasoning capacity is, and just how pivotal a role the abortion holocaust has played in that. Beyond, the rhetorical stratagems you have used — the latest being Alinsky’s ridicule to dismiss — show just how destructive agit prop and media shadow show tactics are. KF

Quote
WTF? May I suggest that you are so full of bovine excrement that your eyes are brown?

I have presented a concrete strategy for moving society forward that will significantly reduce unwanted pregnancies and abortions. One that has been shown to be effective in several countries. But you continue to refuse to address it. Why? Is it because it acknowledges the fact that humans are sexual animals? Is it because it only works if you lay aside the puritanical sermonizing pontifical nonsense? Is it because it gives permission for young people to have sex (which they are going to do regardless)? Is it because it encourages the use of contraceptives?

You really have to pick a side. What is more important, eliminating unwanted pregnancies and abortions, or pretending that you can control human sexuality?

This is going to be fun while it lasts. Which won't be long.

William J. Murray is by far the stupidest person at UD.

Armand Jacks makes this simple and factual statement.

If a person does not have a brain, they can’t be self-aware. But your point is moot as someone without a brain would not be alive.

I’m sorry, but that has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. And I have heard plenty on UD. I even admit to having said some really stupid things. But nothing in this league. I bow to the master.

You know how I said that what you said earlier was the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I take it back. Your comment just above has now taken the lead.

Link to full comment at UD.

ETA: WJM's follow up indicates that he interpreted AJ's comments as a big woosh somewhere overhead.

Actually it speaks very well for my knowledge of worldview issues. The god you worship is one among many that have been and continue to be worshipped The word itself is a common noun. As such, there is no need to capitalize the word, any more than we would capitalize it when we refer to the god of war, or the sea god. If I was going to refer to your flavour of god by name I would say Jehovah (or Yahweh) and capitalize it as I would with any other proper noun. Besides, I am an atheist that does’t believe in the existence of gods. Why would or should I capitalize the word?

Armand Jacks:
Quote
This is not reduction ad absurdum. JS01 is correct. An abortion is a premeditated act. Therefore, if a fetus from conception on is entitled to full human rights then any woman who is found to have aborted a fetus must be charged with first degree murder. There can be no exception. She will either be acquitted, found guilty or found not guilty by reason of insanity. There are no other options. Her state of mind can be used to mitigate sentencing but in the US there are mandatory minimums. If found guilty, the best she can hope for is 25 years.

And what do you do about all of the women who had abortions when they were legal? If the right to life is an objective human right, as many here assert, it was also an objective human right when abortion was legal and all of these women and doctors would have to be rounded up and charged. And if guilty, 25 years minimum or execution depending on the state. And before you claim that I am being absurd, that is the argument that was and continues to be used against those responsible for the holocaust (Crimes against humanity). If abortion is a holocaust then it is a crime against humanity. Since KF and WM insist that abortion is a holocaust even worse than the Nazi holocaust, then they must also be in favour of the jailing and execution of the thousands of women who had legal abortions. And any politician that voted in favour of current abortion laws. And the judges that ruled on Roe v Wade. You can’t have one without the other.

The response to this is going to be epic.

Once abortion is once again criminalizes, Gordo has decided how we are to deal with women who had legal abortions.

Quote
One step of the current process is that we are going to eventually need an international truth and reconciliation commission on the mass abortion civilisational kulturkampf, which should be associated with tribunals capable of censure and recommendation of loss of credibility for cases of gross ethical violations of the same natural laws that answered to the defendant’s claims to be acting under lawful orders at Nuremburg. But no, I see no reason to bring back the hangman; let our shame as a civilisation and let our shame on record as key enablers, promoters and practitioners be enough — though some may need to be held in protective custody on long term suicide watch. The judgement of history against our era will be grim. KF
