Given this, aren’t you the least bit concerned about the Palins association with the Alaska Independence Party who’s founder said “I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions” and died in a plastic explosives deal gone bad?

A couple of contrary points. Palin is not running for the Oval Office, she is running, as it were, for a portion of real estate in the Old Executive Building and a home at the Naval Observatory.
Also, Palin’s net worth is reported to be $1.2 million, lives in a home assessed at over $500K, and has at least two boats and a private plane. That is rich to the vast majority of people, myself included. Granted it still pales in comparison to McCain’s 8 homes and 13 cars, but I can’t fault Sarah for that. Marrying up, like McCain did, is a rare opportunity. Perhaps being a Dellionaire has distorted your view of what is rich. My net worth took a huge hit this week when my 401K tanked. And, get this, I am not blaming it on a bunch of minorities getting home loans, as you seem to want people to believe. Rather, I blame it on a bunch of bankers who seemed to think you could throw thousands upon thousands of subprime loans into a big pot and sell it as a prime grade investment. Smartest guys in the room? Not smart enough by half. |
