Humans and fruit flies have interoperable memory genes. (Tested only in the human->fruit fly direction.)

What did ID predict about this?

Apparently, yes.

It would seem to me that if you can breed tame foxes in 50 years, the issue of how rapidly alleles can be fixed in a population is pretty much settled.

Of course it would take longer if breeding isn't controlled.

It doesn't settle any questions about whether rapid climate change will cause a lot of extinctions.

VJ Torley ain't gonna like this. At least 50K words citing Thomas Aquinas, Ed Feser and his own Ph. D thesis on why the brain is not the mind will be typed. (But he won't be aware of the rat tails that are moving his fingers...)

I remember, back in December 2012, I was reading a Scientific American article on A. sediba. The author stated that, it had a wide birth canal as in humans.

Australopithecines!

I first met them in 1943, in my first science book, and fell in love with them. They made me realize the shortcomings of scripture as a reliable source of information about the real world. They also made me want to become a paleontologist and search for more documentation of our origins.

Well,  no paleontology for me but a lasting desire to learn all about where we came from.

I was happy to replace my ugly avatar with lovely Au. sediba.

One of the lines from Peter Pan was something like "clap your hands if you believe in fairies"; they did that to save Tinkerbell from something or other.

Ah, I see.

Peter Pan was possibly the first interactive drama. The scene sounds stupid when described,  but in a live performance it is unbelievably compelling.

We are fortunate that Barry didn't try to start a new religion. Or maybe unfortunate. He might have improved on the competition.
