Everyone has the right to be offended. However, that doesn't mean that the thing you are offended by doesn't exist, indeed, doesn't have a great deal of power.

Creationists are offended by evolution.

I'm offended by the Republican Party.

It's exactly the same thing, except I realize that the GOP does exist and it has an inordinate amount of power and control. Too, there is a valid non-GOP system in place... there isn't one for evolution.

Nothing catches my eye quicker than writing that indicates someone who doesn't quite understand the concept.

The first line says it all:
