Happy Birthday!

PaV: I suppose for me to be pried away from what I do to focus long and hard on that particular problem would take, quite honestly, hundreds of thousands of dollars to begin to pique my interest.

And to you, and to them, and me (also 41, on Sunday)

There was a commercial some years back that was comprised entirely of a group of people having a relaxing evening exchanging a series of telegraphic allusions, like, "MaryAnn, or Ginger?" Most referred to pop culture of the 60s and 70s.

I knew all of them. I guess I was squarely in their target demographic.

Before I was ten years old, I had a fondness for TV shows like "The Saint", "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.", "The Avengers", and "The Prisoner". For at least a couple of those, I saw episodes in their original run. I was really bummed when "Coronet Blue" got cancelled.

Blew my mind to see Diana Rigg in Game of Thrones.

Back while in the earlier stages of developing som savvy of the English language, I heard Tennessee Ernie Ford singing "deeper in death" and I found that a reasonable interpretation. And stiil do, in some way.
