The criticisms in 16 and 18 are fair. My apologies to Joe. He is unbanned but still warned.

Which thread is that in?

In a return to regular programming DeNews tells us that Austrian-Swiss physicist Wolfgang Pauli has joined the list of famous dead scientists who are, sorry were intelligent design advocates.
Let's see, we have Wallace, Einstein and Pauli who have, post mortem, become ID advocates, for starters. I am sure there are more - anyone care to add to the list?

Sometimes I wonder if Byers is even aware of what he writes.  This is from the Salon Mag on Darwin ... thread:

If one can accept the crazy, but true, story of christ then why not genesis??
Christian evolutionists must base their evolution acceptance on hard and fast evidence since they reject the bible which is the source for their Christianity.

Yeah!  If you can believe Jesus is the son of God who came to earth to get killed so his Father could save a few people from the eternity in Hell he condemned them to because of something somebody else did 6,000 years ago, then why not believe in Genesis too?

He's right about science relying on hard and fast evidence.  Too bad religion can't do the same.

Hopefully, Mrs. News will use the links I've provided. Especially, I am looking forward to the graphics on the development of paperback and kindle sales ranks.

ETA: Unfortunately, the donotlink link I've added will not direct to my comment. Here you'll find it via tinyurl

Only because the creotards there spanked his ass for questioning the Ark.

Dense and Bleary, the UD News correspondent posted a few items about the bystanders who tried to save the honour guard for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier who was killed a couple weeks ago. Very inspiring stories. But then she finished off with this little turf:

Looks like she still misunderstands the term "selfish gene" as "the gene for selfishness".

I would think that DeNews and her ilk would embrace such a notion.  They're always talking about how humans are essentially evil, and that in the absence of religion, we revert to a savage materialist state.

I once thought (for about one message) that Mung might be a lot smarter than he lets on and that he's only pretending to be dense.  That belief proved to be untenable because he provides so much evidence to the contrary:

Ha ha.  I might take back my comment in Joe's thread about Mung being smarter than Joe.

2. God.
3. Both of the above (i.e., the description fits both A and B perfectly).

I do rather think that Mr A has managed to equivalence theology and speculative cosmology. Is this a category error?

Yes, at least for most definitions of 'God' -- and certainly for those definitions that seem to be preferred by ID cultists.

The category error is at least between things that exhibit purposeful agency and things that do not.  There are probably quite a few more.

Yeah, he's getting a good pounding there (not that he will learn anything from it). What a waste of a college education.

But wait, on further consideration I doubt that PaV ever spent a day in an actual college. By "UCLA" he probably meant University of Christian Loony Apologetics, or University of Creationist Liars and Assholes.
